KatonRyu 1,033 September 28, 2016 Share September 28, 2016 What does having proof she's not lesbian matter? Since canon relationships are probably not going to happen, what with the focus of the show being on friendship and not romance, who cares what other people say? Any kind of shipping is as likely as every other kind. A lot of people ship her with other mares simply because most of the show's cast are mares. I do agree with you that people singling her out because she has a rainbow mane is really annoying. She's no more lesbian/straight than any of the other characters IMO.
Justin_Case001 4,903 September 28, 2016 Share September 28, 2016 I think it would be adorable for any of the characters on the show to have an ongoing crush. Spike does. Why not do it with one of the ponies? I'd like it. I'm tired of lots of people calling her a lesbian, if they show that she does, i would be happy and i will have proof that shes not lesbian Why? Is it just that you find it annoying that people single her out due to her hair color and/or masculine character traits? If so, then I can understand where you're coming from. Personally, I've always imagined her as gay, and perhaps I'm a bit at fault for being subconsciously influenced by stereotypes. But it wouldn't matter to me which she is. Either way is awesome. But it's obviously unfair to assume the orientation of someone based on character traits. Based on the way I dress and act, many would probably assume I'm gay, but I'm not. As I've said many times on this forum, the only thing that determines your orientation is which sex you're attracted to. There may be a higher probability of having certain other personality traits depending on orientation, (I'm really not sure) but there's no guarantees, and it's not right to label anyone based on stereotypes. But I think that many in the fandom adopted Rainbow as a champion for LGBT, and I really have no problem with that. I see it as a positive thing. What is it hurting when it's a fictional character with an unknown orientation? It may be a cliché, but it makes a certain amount of sense to use her as such, as opposed to any of the others, given the fact that the rainbow is a symbol for LGBT. I don't see the harm. But we all know that any of them are just likely to be gay as any others. Rainbow Dash isn't any more or less likely.

Unlikeable Pony 2,698 September 28, 2016 Share September 28, 2016 I just sat through 1/4 of Legend of everfree being NOTHING but romance, I don't want that forced into FIM please. On that note, DO NOT give her a love interest JUST for the sake of being a love interest. They should be CHARACTERS first, with love interest as an ASPECT of who they are but not ALL that they are: Case in point, flash sentry. No personality, just there as an executive mandate for a love interest. and he is TERRIBLE. by comparison, his replacement, Timber, while not a Great character, or one that I even care for, is one that I can at least *accept* as a character and love interest because he has a reason to exist BESIDES being a love interest (in that he's a huge nerd and has a plot role aside from wanting to bang the underage campers at his camp) I'm not opposed to romance; fuck, I ship soarin and dash pretty hard. But I am VERY opposed to giving characters love interests purely for the sake of giving them love interests.

Unlikeable Pony 2,698 September 28, 2016 Share September 28, 2016 fuck , im glad Soarin was not too mean at RD in Newbie Dash Soarin's pretty much the token "nice guy" of the group now, given how fleetfoot and spitfire have been portrayed as douches in the past (to say nothing of wind rider)
bluseymoe 258 September 29, 2016 Share September 29, 2016 I think romance is the last thing Dash would concern herself with, though I think it would make for an interesting episode if she briefly considered it.
