If I am fast enough I can take the ringleaders off guard and capture them like Luna and Celestia prefer. If not then things may complicate a little but I should be able to manage easily enough, thankfully most solar guards know little about me but for my reputation and some rumors." 

 

Indicus looked out one of the windows, "So enough about my job, how have your missions been going?"

"They've been well enough. Luckily things aren't exactly like they were during the war, still some snobby nobles vying for more power and wealth. Disgusting really, I don't do those kind of jobs, only the ones our mother gives me or I pick up from a reliable source"

"Eh Nobles seem to always doing power plays no surprise there, playing their games. They live in an illusion of power nothing more. The princesses let them have the illusion to keep them happy and therefore the bits flowing from taxes and everyday ponies employed."

She nods "true, but still. You'd think they would have learned from the war, but no, guess their skulls are just too thick for anything to get through to them" Shade says with a scowl. She then allows a small smile "so brother, tell me. What is it like to be in love with someone possibly nore powerful than our mother and aunt combined?"

Indicus chuckled, "Never thought of how powerful Crystal actually was. But so far I've found she is very kind and gentle, kinda dose make one forget that at full potential she possesses the power equivalent to a very powerful demigod. Honestly I think I fell for her so fast because she somewhat reminds me of Dusk Flower in several ways. They both are very kind but can easily incinerate anyone who threatens those they care about. Interesting feeling all around."

Shade glares at him "What exactly happened? Mother keeps refusing to tell me, and yes Crystal is indeed that powerful, though i know she refuses to use it unless absolutely necessary" she nods then sighs "and you know, i can banish that demon from you, all you have to do is ask"

"What... Oh, how I found Crystal. I found her in the Everfree after my hunting trip she was in front of my cabin badly injured. I nursed her back to health having no Idea who she was and after a few days she was perfectly fine and a day later wanted to date me. I decided to see where it would go and somehow before long I was head over heels in love for her. Honestly the fastest I have ever seen a relationship go mine or otherwise." 

 

Indicus sighed when he thought about the demon in his mind. "The demon is pretty powerful on par with an archdemon, a succubus no less. And for some reason she's is very attached to me something I never thought could happen with a succubus. Besides I have went to priests and zebra shamans that could walk through hell un obstructed while demons cowered away or else be destroyed. But if you want to give it a shot go ahead."

She nods "I m-meant how..how Dusk died.. and I will give it a shot, do not forget who my only two friends are. One is a master of the occult and the other master of the arcane" she says with a slighter wider smile "We'll do it later, you look and sound exhausted, besides I believe my future sister in law is missing you right now." she says with a chuckle then kisses his cheek "It was..nice seeing you again baby brother. maybe we should.actually hang out more and get to know each other better"

Indicus hugged Shade, "I agree we should hang out more, and next we meet before the attempt to expose the succubus I'll tell you the details of how Dusk died more then the report or my summary gave. I love you sister, till next time." Indicus left to go back to bed still happy he got to smooth thing out with the only blood relative he knew.

Shade nods and teleports to her chambers.

 

Meanwhile Crystal was awake again and gently rocking the filly in her arms, as she was singing a soft lullaby to her, as it would seem that the little filly had had a nightmare as she was also clutching at a bottle of war milk. though Crystal's eyes were closed, it was clear that she was crying and she held the filly close to her chest. At the end of the lullaby, she refused to let go of her and was now visibly and audibly crying.

Indicus walked back to his room satisfied with how things turned out, knowing tomorrow he would continue his hunt for the corrupt guards running the extortion operation. He made it to their quarters and entered seeing Sugar sleeping soundly as Crystal held her tightly to her chest and cried. Indicus walked over to Crystal and put a hand on her shoulder. "Hey what's wrong?"

She looks up at him "I d-don't want to let her go love, s-she's so fragile a-and precious" she says softly, still holding Sugar close to her chest, rather protectively" she sniffles "W-what am I to do Indicus, I want to keep her, but I don't want to steal her from her mother, I could feel the love they have for each other and it is something very special"

Indicus climbed into the bed and snuggled up behind her his arms wrapping around her stomach "Enjoy the time you have with little Sugar, besides I think Night Vision is interested in you if my suspicion is true then you will be seeing a lot of Sugar around in the future. You will make a great mother Crystal, and in time you will have children of your own."

She nods, wiping her tears away before she gently lays Sugar in her cot that had been brought in for her. She then snuggles up to him "I-I know sweetheart, it's just.." she shakes her head then smiles "It doesn't matter, I hear the stallion her mother is sweet on is a really nice stallion, who cares a lot for the both of them, a Lieutenant Spearhead, heard of him?"

"Him I believe he was close friends with Night Vision both were trainees in the Lunar guard heh, funny that they are now dating. How close friends turn into lovers quite the fun thing to watch." Indicus wraps his hands around Crystals stomach and finally decided to use his magic to strip down to his underclothes a simple shirt and basic shorts. He then kissed Crystal on the back of the neck "Love you Crystal."

Crystal nods with a smile "Well I am glad she also has a good stallion that you at least know and trust" she says softly and nuzzles him, occasionally glancing over at the cot "the poor dear, she keeps having nightmares of this stallion who keeps claiming he is her father, and steals her away from Night vision. I think we need to have a talk with Luna" she says and sighs "Luna, love?" she calls out with her mind

Luna was quick to arrive at Crystal's call. "You requested my presence?" Indicus took the liberty of answering. "Yes, Crystal is worried about Sugar Drops nightmares involving her biological father. You are who came to mind for such problems."

 

Luna nodded, "Ah yes the sack of shit that abandoned Night Vision the moment she was pregnant. Some noble claiming to have loved Night till Sugar Drops came along."

Crystal looks to her and shudders "Lust, not love. Unlike Indicus for me, I can  feel his undying love for me" she says and nuzzles him lovingly "She sees him as a monster in her dreams and then steals her away from her mother, I'm worried..it might actually happen. I know everyone here, myself included would put up a fight but.." she looks to the cot and sighs "Such an innocent little one should never have to dream about those things"

Luna nods. "I know but no matter I will help ease the child's nightmares. One so young should not have to worry about such things. This should be a simple fix." Luna touched her horn on Sugar Drops forehead and activated her magic. soon enough Luna was inside the filly's Nightmare.

Inside her nightmare, Sugar was curled up as a monster in the shape of a noble stallion tries to coax her out "Come on sweetie," ot says in a tone reeking of malice but was coated with sweetness "I'm your father, don't you want to go get some candy and a shake with your father?" It asks her

Luna watched it play out before her before she reviled herself, "Begone foul nightmare!" with a swipe of magic the dreamscape was wiped clean and made way for a more peaceful setting in which she could talk to the filly. "Hello there young Sugar Drops."

Sugar looks up at her and hugs her "H..hewwo Pwincess" she says shyly before curling up. "Mummy says th.. that my daddy w..was a monster a..and broke her h..heart because she had me" she whimpers "d..does my mummy h..hate me? Will daddy take m..me away from h..here?" She stutters "I d..don't want to leave here"

Luna smiled and sat next to the young filly. "No your mother and her coltfriend absolutely love you, and nopony will let your birth father take you away, he is not your daddy just your birth father, A real daddy would love you and your mommy no matter what. A real daddy would not leave like your birth father did." Luna hugged the filly.

She nods and hugs her back "I..is Q..Queen Cwystal gonna be my m..mummy too? Will I be a Pwincess like you?" She asks, looking up at her with hopeful eyes before nuzzling into her chest "M..mummy says that n..not many ponies likes miss Cwystal b..because she is diffwent, but i like her, she lets me sleep in her tail"

"Perhaps young Sugar Drops. I can tell Queen Crystal likes you a lot and even her coltfriend Indicus, if nothing else you will be seeing Crystal plenty when your mommy is out working." Luna gently brushes her hand through Sugars mane. "Ponies can be nervous around anyone that is not like them, in time ponies will see how nice she is like you do."
