Shadow Step sighs "I was..not involved in that, thankfully, I was already in hiding though" she says as she hugs Crystal and sobs "I have missed you so my queen, we all have"

 

"We? M-more of my babies escaped Sombra?" Crystal asks with wide eyes

 

Shadow nods "Take a look around you, 95% of the night stall tenders are Hivelings from our hive"

Indicus looked around at the other vendors as he could almost feel the joy radiating from Crystal. "That's good it means Changelings can still persist dispite Chrysalis' desperation." Indicus joined the hug focusing on his love for Crystal and his happiness.

Shadow hugs her tightly and sends off a signal to the others. Pretty soon, more and more of her loyal subjects had arrived and given her their regards and ever lasting love and loyalty for her. "My children, I am so proud of you, surviving this long, e-even assimilating into the pony life, it warms my heart to see all of you here" she says wiping her tears away "Shade would also be ecstatic to hear the news, but do not let me keep you from your jobs, it is most wonderful to see all of you regardless" she says then she noticed the mare from the jewelry stall, "Y-you're one of my children? Then we will certainly get you your husband and child back, you have my word was your Queen" she says, hugging the mare then looking to Indicus "come dear, we must return to the palace, there is much to discuss with the Princesses" she says, spreading her beautiful butterfly like wings

Indicus nodded and with a flash of his magic dark bat like wings appeared on his back a mist coming off them being the only indication they were magic. Indicus then flew after Crystal and to the castle to give the princesses the good news about the Changelings.

Crystal was ecstatic about this, now it wasn't just her, Indicus and Bella, but almost more than half of her hive. She giggles cutely as she arrives at the throne room entrance and knocks on the door "Luna? Tia? A-are you both here and awake?" she asks with a soft giggle.

Luna was the first to open the door. "Hello Indicus, Crystal." Luna looks at Crystal for a moment noticing her wings buzzing excitedly and hearing her giggle. "Come in you two," once the pair is in the throne room Luna asks her question. "What has you so excited Crystal?"

Crystal hugs her tightly "It's my hive darling, t-they survived...well most of them, I thought they were all killed by Sombra but..they survived" she continues to hug her then happily sob into her shoulder.

 

Celestia looks to Indicus "Is this true Indicus?"

Indicus smiled and nodded, "It is quite true Celestia there are changeling refugees that have survived and lived in the city for a long time."

 

Meanwhile Luna hugged Crystal tightly letting the Changeling Queen cry her tears of joy. While glancing at Indicus remembering what she needed to tell Indicus something that had been kept from him for a long time.

Crystal soon calms down and sighs in relief after having held in those tears for so long "It truly makes me happy to know that my 'children' or at least a majority of them had actually escaped from Sombra's insanity, and hopefully after the announcements at the Gala, they will be able to be their true selves soon enough"

"That would be a very welcome event." Luna then looked at Indicus and Crystal for a moment. For some reason how Luna looked at him was odd, it was if she wanted to say something to him yet could not find the words. He let it be for the moment and hugged Crystal, overjoyed that those thought lost were not.

 

Nightmare once more impatiently stirred in Luna's mind eager to give Indicus the truth about his hieratage.

Crystal could sense it and looked to Luna "I've got to tell Shade, I'll leave you two be, Tia, did you want to come with me too? I think Rarity wants to talk to you about your dress for the Gala" she says subtly telling her that Luna and Indicus needed some alone time. She then skips off happily to try and find Shade.

 

She soon found him with Rarity in their room, she pokes her head in "Shade, darling, may I come in? I have the most wonderful news!"

Celestia followed Crystal without much of a word.

 

Shade looked at the door and to Rarity before shrugging and opening the door. "What's the news Crystal?" Shaded asked very curious as to what had her this excited he could feel the joy radiating from her.

 

 

Meanwhile

 

 

Luna and Indicus were now alone in the room just standing there looking at each other. Indicus spoke first. "You seem to have something you want me and me alone to know."

 

Luna nodded, "You are correct. It concerns your origins more specifically how you were born and who your birth parents were."

 

Indicus was now very curious this was something that had bothered him for a long time but before he could speak Luna stopped him. "Hold everything till I'm finished. Anyway I rather you hear this from the source."

 

Luna focused herself and her magic till she could feel Nightmare and she pulled Nightmare out of her prison in her mind, Luna teathered Nightmare to her and slowly but surely a second mare could be seen next to Luna. This mare had black fur and a mane and tail of midnight blue she stood a head taller then Luna.

 

Luna looked to the demon and nodded indicating her to speak.

Crystal giggles and hugs him "Well Indicus and I were at the market place and it turns out that quite a lot of my children had actually escaped Sombra's insanity and tyranny and had now assimilated into pony life. They mostly work at the market place, but isn't it wonderful! our hive survived!" she giggles and hugs him.

 

Rarity smiles and then goes back to her work

 

Nightmare Moon smiles "About darn time dear" she says then looks to Indicus "Hello son, it is good to see you at last"

Shade smiled and hugged Crystal tightly his enthusiasm palatable. "This is great news! We can rebuild there is a hive to rebuild!" In his enthusiasm he gave Crystal a kiss.

Indicus looked at Nightmare unable to process what she just called him. Nightmare just called him her son and he found part of himself believing it. From how she stood to her eyes and even how her face was structured similar to his.

 

And also being in her presence comforted him on an instinctive level. The part of him that refused to rest did for once. He walked up and hugged Nightmare and cried into her shoulder, years of questions now able to be answered and some already had been.

Crystal kisses him back and holds him close "I know, but...there are ponies who want us exposed before it is our time and wants us dealt with.." she leads him away from Rarity, "The Jewelry stall owner, she has had her husband and little colt kidnapped by the ponies infiltrating the guard and extorting Chocolate and Diamond. She was forced to give me a necklace that had magic that would show my true identity. I do not blame her for it though."

Nightmare Moon hugged him back "shh, it's okay son, you've grown so much, and I'm so glad that you are free of Lilith's grasp"

"There will always be some pony's that want to tear down anything or anyone that they think threatens their power. Indicus and I can keep you and the others safe."

"With her gone the urges are muted, manageable. Why did she target me wouldn't there be demons more powerful to be by her side as she put it? What made me so special as to constantly harrass me for years."

 

Indicus realized he now had someone to teach him how to control the part of him that wanted to inflict fear and pain in others. His demonic side.

 

Indicus looked at Luna giving her a thankful smile which she returned.

Crystal nods and smiles "I know you will love, I should go see if Indicus is ready for tonight, I promised Night I'd look after little Sugar again tonight" she says with a smile before hugging Shaded one more time and walking off.

Nightmare smiles "I wondered that myself, and as for your little mare, sh is quite the special one my dear, take good care of her, we do not want her becoming like her dear sister Chrysalis" she hugs him once more "I'd love to stay but it would seem our Luna is getting tired, until next time, my son"

Shaded waved as he watched Crystal walk away.

Indicus hugged Nightmare Moon and gave her a kiss on cheek like he would give his adopted mom. It felt comforting to have her around and he had a feeling they would talk more when he was asleep. "I love you mom, see you later."

Rarity smiles "That's Wonderful news love, and it is truly wonderful to see Crystal this happy, perhaps her nightmares won't be so bad now" she wonders out loud

"Goodbye my son, I will visit you in your dreams, and love you too" she says before she returns to the catacombs of Luna's consciousness, and Luna then collapses.

"Perhaps, Im just glad that she is in high spirits a lot has happened to her over the years and this string of good news is quite welcome."

Indicus saw Luna start to collapse and quickly rushed to catch her. Having successfully caught her he walked Luna to her chambers the guards dipping their heads as he passed. The guards at her room opened the door, Indicus gently laid Luna down on her bed and put the covers over her.

Rarity nods "It is good to see her in high spirits, yes." she says and kisses his cheek "Darling, I need to ask you to try this on, it's your suit for the Gala"

Luna smiles up at him "Love you" she whispers before falling asleep and entering her realm of the dreams.

Shaded nodded and put the formal wear on and let Rarity inspect him. "You know I have my dress uniform, right?" Shaded weakly protested not being one for formal cloathing similarly to Indicus.

"Thank you." Indicus whispered giving Luna a small kiss on the cheek before heading off to find Crystal.

Rarity giggles "Yes you do, but sometimes a dress uniform isn't enough darling" she says with a smile and inspects the suit "Hmm a little tuck here, a little tuck there...aand it should be done in time"

Crystal was quite happily rolling around in the field of flowers, if one didn't know any better, one would have assumed she was a child.

"The dress uniform made for a good distraction to keep me out of conversations that could test even my extensive patience." Shaded playfully remarked. "Though the suit is turning out to look quite nice."

Upon finding Crystal rolling in flowers Indicus smiled. His smile grew when a idea came to mind.

 

Indicus walked over to Crystal and before she could notice him he quickly picked her up in his arms and planted a loving kiss on her lips his arms wrapped right under her chest.

Rarity smiles "I can hear Indicus saying exactly the same thing" she says with a giggle "Thank you darling, you know I put the utmost care and effort into my designs" she says and hugs him, nuzzling him lovingly

Crystal eeps but kisses him back after a bit of clearing herself of the shock "Why hello there handsome, come to sweep your girl off of her feet?" she asks with a giggle.
