cider float 2,538 October 18, 2016 Share October 18, 2016 http://comicbook.com/dc/2016/08/11/suicide-squad-director-reveals-story-behind-boomerangs-pink-plus/ If anyone has watched Suicide Squad, the villain Captain Boomerang has been shown to keep a pink unicorn plushie very close to him and of course hides it no doubt in fear he will get heckled for it. So when I watched this there was no doubt in mind the writers made him out at least in this movie to be a brony which seems to be a jab or a nudge for brony viewers. Why the heck did they did that? Probably to give him a quirk, the movie was pretty random to begin with. The plushie is never really explained and just seemed to be his security blanket, it appeared about two times and that was it. PiratePony 8,475 October 18, 2016 Share October 18, 2016 I think unicorn plushies are enough of a sight gag that any further connection with bronydom isn't necessary. If it was an MLP horsie, it'd be another story. Tough guys liking things like plush unicorns is kind of funny, like Vladamir and his ceramic unicorn collection in Tangled. 2 Courtesy of @Sparklefan1234
OmegaBeamOfficial 622 October 18, 2016 Share October 18, 2016 This Isn't really that big of a deal honestly. I don't find it offensive, I actually find it kind of flattering that they're giving a nod to us bronies in a movie that has so much notoriety, like all comic book based movies for some reason. Please check out this awesome looking My Little Pony fan game being developed by Rikifive. Here's a link to It's post: https://mlpforums.com/topic/156773-my-little-pony-the-game/ This picture indicates the game's development progress, It's pretty neat if you wanna use it yourself. Ruddboy Olaf 10,628 October 18, 2016 Share October 18, 2016 Honestly, it didn't even come up in my mind when watching the movie. I loved Boomerang's plushy and how he was so overprotective of it. But, never did I think that he was a fan of MLP. I just thought that Pinky was his comfort toy.

If it was an MLP horsie, it'd be another story. Tough guys liking things like plush unicorns is kind of funny, like Vladamir and his ceramic unicorn collection in Tangled. David Ayer the director of the live action movie Suicide Squad directly states he did make Captain Boomerang a brony though. It's name is also Pinky.... This Isn't really that big of a deal honestly. It wasn't meant to be offensive, they just needed to give Boomerang some kind of personality because honestly the character was really bad and bland though I would say that about all the characters in that movie. It's just interesting to point that out. The movie itself is terrible I preferred Batman: Assault on Arkham. Rarity Is Best Pony 634 October 19, 2016 Share October 19, 2016 I'm pretty sure it was confirmed that the character was a brony. http://screenrant.com/suicide-squad-captain-boomerang-brony/
Vlazamal 338 October 19, 2016 Share October 19, 2016 I didn't think much of it. But I do feel bad for his suffering, not being allowed to watch any of season six poor supervillian
