Why hasn't frame-by-frame been a thing in the fanimation community yet?

Since someone in another thread mentioned frame by frame, I figured I'd talk about it. We've been so used to the the show's vector cut out style in fanimations, I think it's time that we've seen fanimators make frame by frame animations for pony. The greatest software for that technique being TVPaint. Here's a few examples of what that software is capable of.

There do exist other programs that are capbable of frame by frame. Seriously, there'd be even more possibilities with this technique. There are lots of talented non-animation artists that could make amazing animations doing FBF.

The reason for why it isn't a thing in this fandom is problably the fact that it's way to much work for something that will just get a C&D.

With that logic, animations like Children of the Night, Fall of the Crystal Empire, and Lullaby for a Princess would've been taken down a long time ago.

There's also that video called "A Heart for Sweetie Belle" which doubles as a nod to Classic Looney Tunes(With a disturbing obese brony that sounds like Pepe Le Pew).

Yeah, same guy who made this little bit.

Puppet animation is much less time consuming than FBF is. Crowne Prince is an animator who has done lots of pony FBF, but she doesn't put much detail into them. I'm guessing this is due to how long it would take to detail each frame just to start over again on another frame.

I definitely think that FBF is achievable, but the sheer number of hours you'd have to put into it to make it look as decent as puppet animation does just isn't worth the effort for a lot of animators.

Also starring Sombra... gazing affectionately at a flight of stairs.

As someone who tried Frame by Frame on several occasions: please lord never again.

I feel that way, but I always come back to it. Nothing can really beat that freedom and simplicity. No need for models, puppets, or expensive software... just... draw.

Well, i did Frame by Frame Animation and actually managed to animate half a Music Video.

So, there are Bronys who use Frame by Frame Animation.

I literally had to erease and redraw the Characters every single time while animating, even though sometimes i cheated and only changed a few Body Parts or just the Mouth.

I tried mutliple times to do a Traditional Animation, but i lost Motivation every single time.

I have drawn frame by frame Animation on 100 Pages and more. ( 6 to 8 Frames on one Paper )

But after a while...i just lost any hope.

It also didnt help, that i cant draw the way i want.

The only thing i ever released was that one half Music Video i mentioned before, but it was animated with Paint and looks stupid.  :please:

Its still the biggest Project i have ever done.

I finished the other half with normal drawings on Paper but never colored and edited them, because my old Drawings looked even worse, than the Paint Pictures.
