  1. I question the idea of putting Cozy in Tartarus. I also wonder how the residents are fed and kept clean. There has to be a staff, yet there were none to be seen in the show. Perhaps the location is magical, and so long as you're there you don't need anything? In any case, Cozy is really young - normally I dislike that so many villains are reformed, but here is a situation where that'd be appropriate. Maybe that's a job for Starlight Glimmer. > It's tragic, but it'd be a stretch for anyone to blame Cozy for it. Cozy packed the magic key for them, and it conveniently imploded after use. Her intent was for Starlight to go along, but she had to make new plans when it was decided that Starlight would stay and run the school. Obviously, she wanted them to become trapped there.
  2. It needs to end with a strong season. As it is now I'm not sure many people care when it's over. Most episodes feel phoned-in these days.
  3. They definitely made Twilight a bit weak in this one. She can teleport, yet they had her in a cage... with bars she could have squeezed through. I understand it though - it happens a lot to Superman in Justice League. If they were fully powered and accurate, a lot of situations would be easily resolved and there wouldn't be a story. That's also why Discord isn't around. I'd also like to have seen about two fewer songs. But whatever, it's for kids. It's good that nothing here was too annoying for parents, so it's a relatively painless experience in that right. The rest of us might be a little disappointed - we have to remember that none of this is really for us. It's worth the $5.99 it costs to rent on Xfinity. Go for it. You'll enjoy the animation and see a bit more of the world beyond Equestria.
  4. I saw exactly one ad (on tv). It was the most phoned-in bullcrap I had ever seen. Everything about it said, "only little girls will like this." You'd be forgiven for thinking it was a direct-to-video movie. I don't know if it's the same ad they have on the internet, I thought there was more than one, but the first one seemed to be pretty rushed too. Heck, I didn't even know that it was out until I came to this forum. If someone's talking about it, I'll have to look for them, because I don't see any mention of it on my typical YT and Facebook feeds. I can only imagine that it was a disappointment... but then I saw all the Equestria Girl flicks, so I might as well watch this one when it comes to Xfinity. If it comes.
  5. See fandom, you got what you wanted *and* Starlight was the key to it all. It's almost like there may be a lesson to learn from that. Hmm...
  6. "Maud in the Shell" I think I like doing character mashups.
  7. What I do with the two sisters is up to them... but it also depends on how I achieve power. If my ascendency is achieved by the skin of my teeth, and especially if I needed help, I'd be a lot more nervous. Celestia, Luna, Cadence, Twilight and Starlight could catch me or my army off guard and depose me. I (Regent, the character I'm speaking as) am magically stunted. This makes me little better than an Earth Pony, therefore I rely on strategy and technology to make up and surpass the difference. So for their sake, I hope they don't put up much of a fight. If they do, I'll have to get my hands dirty, and I don't really want that. Edit: As for what I do: 1. Fund and focus on technological and scientific development. 2. End the policy of using magic to control the environment and the animals within it. 3. Take over the Crystal Empire proper, turning it into an incorporated city. 4. Integrate dragons into the pony society. There's more. But I'll fill you in on the details in later.
  8. Holy crap that avatar...

  9. The only thing I liked about this episode is the potential that Flurry Heart has in story cannon. That said, I doubt that the series will get far enough to explore it beyond her infancy.
  10. I didn't like Discord for a change. Huh. I guess his shtick is wearing thin. I mean, I understand why he does it. It's all the chaos he can cause without going too far and getting turned to stone again. (his cheese idea might have resulted in that though). It would be nice to see more character development here. Give him a girlfriend. Look for Q's only episode in DS9 Season 1 for an idea of how that might work. I also didn't like Trixie. She was my favorite character at one point. She was a ditsy brat the whole time. Even her apology came off as disingenuous. On the plus-side, Spike was on his A-game and not cringe-worthy for a change. He's really matured if you compare this to the earlier episodes. Actually, every recent episode I think that. He might be my favorite character if they keep this up. And the biggest plus, Starlight wasn't a complete a-hole! Wow. It was also nice to see more of Celestia. I imagine writing her can be difficult, since a lot could be assumed about her character, but you want her to actually be likable without being perfect. (In hindsight, judging by what we've seen of her, she's anything but.)
  11. That depends on the mechanics of their reformation. I thought it was a bit rushed, there's bound to be a few having second thoughts and looking for their Queen. Also, I don't believe for a second that Thorax can go from what he was to a Changeling leader in a few minutes. The guy is as timid as Fluttershy. Heck, she might be the one to talk to him after he makes a few serious mistakes. Edit:

  14. This is still on-going. I feel the need to re-do some things, but I'm putting that off for now in favor of re/learning how to rig stuff in Blender. I am re-working Pascal though. I might even pull him out of my fan-fic and make him his own thing. In which case, updates won't be posted here.
  15. Yeah, definitely over-saturated, but I liked how they actually kinda looked like ponies and possessed eyes that could realistically fit inside of their heads.

Welcome! I gotta say Peter Griffinchu there is one of the most unexpected things I ever saw.
  17. My internet friends are my real friends (and vice versa). Exception of course for "friends", like Facebook "friends", or people in a "buddy" list. Their status as my friend is not dependent on their location, our method of communication, nor their continuous status in some piece of software. Likewise, loose associates with this title aren't automatically my friend.
  18. I guess it's a good sign if I pick myself when given the option to be other people. There's people I envy, but I wouldn't want to deprive them of the fruits of their success. That belongs to them. Building a future for myself is a challenge I wouldn't turn away from anyway.
  19. I hated the experience of taking Art History. I like actual Art History. The biggest problem I had in that class was that I'd end up on unhelpful tangents. Certain material had to be memorized (that's all the class was), and I was much happier just reading the book. It helped me appreciate the giants upon whom's shoulders we stand. But the class? No, I hated taking it.
