Have you ever thought about that?

I mean i don't see them grasp the grip with their wings. A normal dumbell has a round grip. If they just hold the downside of the grip with their wings the dumbell should fall at them. And with their hooves it should'n work definitly. (Bizeps bulk)

Can you explain that?

Their wings fold around it.

I've never thought about that. It actally seems pretty stupid xD You'd think increasing mucles in wings would only interfere with their flying due to extra weight and unbalance mass. Flexibility should be the main ability to focus on while flying.

The way I have always imagined ponies lifting just about anything with either their wings or their hooves is by using something similar to a much weaker version of The Force from Star Wars: if a pony's wing/hoof is touching an object, and the pony thinks about picking up the object, their inner magic will pull that object and keep it firmly attached to their wing/hoof until the pony stops thinking about it.
