It depends. If you're looking for anything from neogeo to PS2 you can get emulators and roms from emuparadise.org otherwise you're best to look at any garage sales near your place or local pawn stores, they won't be free but more affordable

@@goldheart, could you define what kind of game system you're after?

Anything higher end, or well, in general, you're unlikely to find without having to pay a good chunk of money for. Though, you could check places like Craigslist or garage sales for the chance of finding something cheap/old/free.

Do what @SFyr said, you can also try seeing if you know anyone who has some old consoles. Otherwise, I wouldn't know.
