Well, Chrysalis only wanted to feed her subjects. It's also in their nature, so i believe we all have to deal with it. Right?

They didn’t feel appreciated by a friend who moved away, so they became villains, and then Celestia banished them through the mirror like an insensitive monster she is, and then they tried to come back using super powerful magic but got accidentally transformed into Sunset Shimmer.

So, how do you think Applejack's parents died?

I'd have to think some sort of tragedy, either through a natural disaster (like a bad flood or tornado or something) or from an accident. Maybe a train crash? There aren't any cars, so that seems like a plausible explanation. Probably more likely than the weather team losing control.
