@@Orange Sparks,

Skyhop was going to respond when he heard a thump from somewere in the ship. And then another, followed by shouting and the sounds of commotion in the distance. His ears perked up, and he craned his neck up towards the door of his room.

"What is all that racket ?" He asked softly, not really sure if he wanted to find out. Sometimes it was best just to let the other crew members be.

@@Commander Tangent,

Clock sighs and shrugs as he holds Skyhopper close "Who knows, probably one of the others being a goof, though I'll have to care if they mess with the mechanics" he says with a soft sigh then nuzzles the younger stallion "So my dear, cute, stallion, what did you think when you first saw this ol' hunk of meat and metal?" he chuckles

Trinket clasped her hands together. "Then it's settled! Let's go fetch Skyhop and Clockwork so we can finally treat ourselves to lunch!" She picked the food package back up and peeked inside it: to her dismay, only a single dumpling had been spared. Perhaps she should have brought more than just a few, considering how starved everyone was. Now she wouldn't have enough to share with the rest of the crew members. For a brief moment, she considered hiding the fact that she ever brought those snacks to the ship in the first place, as to not disappoint those who weren't there in time. Nevertheless, they were hopefully going to eat fairly soon, and all would be well. She signaled to Raze and Bronze, making her way back up towards the Vega's living quarters.

Raze looked at Bronze for a second, then sighed. He walked past her, putting a hand on her shoulder as he did.

"Remember what I told you..." he said to her, then proceeded to follow Trinket towards the living quarters.

"So," he said as he arrived. "Mind telling me what this place you had in mind is?"

"It's an old friend's restaurant... Well... I mean, it might be more of a hut than a restaurant. You'll know what I'm talking about: it's different from all those fussy, expensive-looking Martian five-stars buffets. It's homemade cooking at its best. Trust me, you'll love it!" She explained while making her way towards Skyhop's room. "I don't think it's too far away from here, either. If I remember correctly... about a five, six minute walk at most." Then, she approached the bedroom's door, and knocked on it a few times.

"Skyhop! You in there?... Hey, we're gonna go get food! Wanna come?" Trinket asked from the outside.

Raze shrugged. "Sounds good enough to me. As long as it's food, I'll take whatever." He sat on the couch, then decided to completely lay down on it.

"So..." he said to Trinket. "You also mind telling me why we should avoid the west district?" He raised a brow. "This doesn't have to do with a certain... family problem, does it?"

Trinket instantly shot up, her entire body stiffening in front of her crew mate's closed bedroom door. She slowly turned around to face Raze, holding a trembling, goofy-looking grin and wide-open eyes.

"Fuh..." She cleaned her throat. "Family problem? Pfft, what?? Wh--what the hell are you talking about? There's no family problems, WHAT!! There is no such thing as family problems, love! Who-who-who do you think I am? Some sort of... mare, with... a bunch of... family... problems? I say! You think I'd avoid going to the west district just because my family lives there and I haven't got enough guts to meet with them... or something?? You're out of your tree, Raze! Bahahahah!!" She pat the captain's head a few times whilst laughing out loud.

@@Driz,

Raze shook his head. "What did we just talk about a little while back? Or did that just go in one ear and out the other with you?" He sat up. "This is the time for you to tell your parents and own up to it. Stop running! Do you wanna keep lying to your parents for the rest of your life? You think you can live with that?"

"I, uh... you--... I don't... uhhhh..." Trinket struggled to come up with anything else to say, panicking. Her mind was a mess: emergency plans were being thought out on the fly nonstop, and discarded likewise. All she was able to do was stutter helplessly - after all, she had already been found out.

"L...Listen!" She finally managed to exclaim. "It's not as easy as it looks, alright? You don't know my parents! You don't know how strict they are! I am not gonna risk losing my job-- losing you guys, just because my family thinks they can decide what's best for me!" At that point, her eyes were beginning to well up with tears. "I don't need to stop running, Raze! I am done with my past life! I don't need my parents anymore! I don't... I... I don't..." She slowly worked her way to a stop, otherwise she would have ended up crying for real. It hurt for her to say those things out loud: deep inside, she cared for her family just as much as she cared for her crew. However, she assumed that juggling the two would be impossible. She was scared; confused.

"Being 'done' with it doesn't mean you keep avoiding it for the rest of your life," Raze responded back. "That's still running away. And why should they care? You're old enough to decide what you want to do with your life; their opinion doesn't mean jack shit." He sat up. "And that's exactly what I'll tell them when they try to force it on you."

Trinket's eyes shot wide open once again, and her expression became one of shock. "W...Wait, what? You will tell them??" The mare thought she could get away with not meeting with her parents if she went by herself. But now that she was likely going to get escorted back home, she really didn't have many options left, aside from begging.

"...Come on, Raze, don't do this to me! Listen, I'm all grown up! I can do this by myself!... You'll just... Uhm... You'll embarrass me..." She looked down, blushing.

"No, you'll tell them," Raze responded. "I'm just gonna tag along for the ride, and only respond when I feel the need to..."

He looked at her dead in the eyes. "And it's obvious to me that you can't do this by yourself. If you could, you wouldn't tell us to avoid going there, now would you? Which is also why I'm tagging along."
