Will MLP ever cement cross species relationships?

Spike and Rarity never got anywhere than a schoolboy crush, but do you guys think we'll see actual couples- boyfriends/ girlfriends or husbands/wives that are actually different species? Best way I can think of doing this is in a map episode- having someone sent to the crosspeciesed couple, to reunite them in friendship and love that may have resulted in their different species upbringing.

do you guys think showing cross species couples is a good idea, rather than hanging a carrot in front of us with Spike and Rarity, which never got anywhere?

The writers aren't even allowed to cover the topic of Applejack's deceased parents in the show.

So I don't really think the show will ever tackle the subject of something that could be an allegory for mixed races relationships.

they already heavily teased it with Spike and rarity. I don't think you can compare inter-racial (or species) relationships to the trauma of death toward young children (who might also have interracial parents)

Yeah, I'm afraid you're right...

And it bothers me quite a bit. FiM's supposed to be the show to teach little kids the power of friendship, love and acceptance :c

Well there are not many species that they can realistically have a relationship with except griffons. I would like to see that.

it's a world of magic, bro. If an earth pony and a unicorn can get it on, and pop out a pegasi and unicorn foal; and if a centaur and a gargoyle can copulate and have kids, and if a dragon can fall for a pony....then I think we have insurance on any further represented inter-species relationships.

This would be terrible. This would mean that mlp would support cross species realtionships and intercourse. This is unchristian and demonic. I call world conspiracy, illuminaty style.

Blame it on Celestia SUNBUTT, d'accord?

Really guys? Have you forgotten FlutterCord? The most popular cross-species relationship on the show? It's almost canon, and based on the writer's word, It's not a family bond or platonic. McCarthy ship them and she probably tried to repalce Sparity with them to not creaty controversy over adult/child relationship rather than cross-species. Interspecies relationshiup was never an issue with Hasbro, they had plenty of them in comics - Tirek's parents or the arc about the pony pirate and a siren or even Sombra wasn't even a pony when he met Radiant Hope. Then you also have Flash and Twilight ot Sunset and Flash being a thing in Equestria Girls.
