Nightmare Moon, Nightmare Star, and Midnight Sparkle teamed up for insane havoc. What do you suppose would have to happen to turn Luna back to Nightmare Moon, Sunbutt into Nightmare Star, and Twilight into Midnight Sparkle, and burn Equestria to the bucking ground? Would the remane5 and Spike have the power and ability to save all three of them? Would Starlight? Would Sunset?

Here, let me fix this plot for you:

 

Due to a powerful cursed artifact (because of course), the four alicorn princesses are transformed into nightmares. With their astral forms pushed out of their bodies and into the foreboding depths of dreamscape, Twilight, Celestia, Luna, and Cadence must navigate this frightening maze and reclaim their dreams before Equestria gets ravaged by their nightmares' wrath.

 

Meanwhile, all other ponies can get shat upon throughout the whole arc cause dreamscape/nightmare perspective seems like a way better focus. It's like Silent Hill wonderland made appropriate for children, and you get four totally different versions of the otherworld.

 

There are way better arcs to make other members of Mane 6 shine.
