Cookie 28 November 27, 2011 Share November 27, 2011 I'm having a hard time finding something to get for my husband for Christmas this year. I thought, well, there are lots of guys on MLP Forums, why not ask them! He likes video games, but usually when one comes out that he wants we just get it, so that's kind of out of the question. He does NOT like ponies, so anything like that wouldn't work. He is very into super heroes/comic books. Any suggestions? Any help you guys could provide would be wonderful! Lady Rarity Pony 4,892 November 27, 2011 Share November 27, 2011 I'm trying to avoid saying comic books as it seems you already know that >.< What else is he into? 3 LRP's opinions are subject to change without notice. Cookie 28 November 27, 2011 Author Share November 27, 2011 He already is subscribed to all of the comic books that he likes, so yeah, that wouldn't really work either. Believe it or not, you somehow just gave me a great idea. I was trying to come up with something else he was interested in, and was going to tell you about how he likes cartoons, and I thought of getting him Tailspin season 1. Thanks for the indirect inspiration LRP.

Colon Leftbracket 971 November 27, 2011 Share November 27, 2011 Money! Haha Sorry But when in doubt cash is King! But this is your husband so that's a much different situation! I'll have to get back to you on this one later but feel free to post anymore of his interests to help us help you! Video Games, Comic Books, and NOT Ponies... there isn't too much to really go with that! My best idea is to find out what videogames he enjoyed as a kid. And try to recollect some of his favorites. Example: If he were to say he used to play the old Mario and Zelda games on the Super Nintendo you could try to buy a Super Nintendo console with a small library of classic Mario and Zelda titles! Nothing says Merry Christmas more than good old Nostalgia! Then again this only works if he has fond childhood memories of classic videogames, he doesn't already collect old games, and your budget definitely effects how many classics you can buy him! Not the best idea but it's a start! [New siggy in progress!]
Cookie 28 November 27, 2011 Author Share November 27, 2011 Colton, that is a wonderful idea! I'll have to keep that one in mind. He actually told me not to buy him anything at all this year...he got a Cintiq for his b-day and well, he didn't want me to buy him something more. Anyhow, my budget is pretty small because it has to be something I can get without him noticing. So I think I found what I needed. But I love the suggestion anyhow, I think that I might do something like that for him someday in the future!
FIuttershy 49 November 27, 2011 Share November 27, 2011 To be honest, I would love to stay home, hope for a white Christmas with a beautiful decorated tree with something on TV in the background as friends and/or family enjoying the day and soft parties. A handmade holiday card also has great impact over store bought one's. Guys tend to shy away from receiving material gifts from their female loved ones. Since, as you pointed out in OP, we naturally splurge our material desires over the rest of the year anyway. For me, it's that handmade something and spending time together that makes the holiday truly special. 1 PSN: OtakuMakoto BEST PONIES: Fluttershy | Pinkie Pie | Derpy

Lyra Heartstrings1 53 November 27, 2011 Share November 27, 2011 I know everyone's said this... But maybe get him tons of comic books? A unlimited collection. Or does he like electronics? Maybe get him a laptop? Or, get him some programmes so he can make his own comic book, or just get him paper and a pen.
Guesty_ 45 November 27, 2011 Share November 27, 2011 Yeah for someone of that age some video gaming Nostalgia would be a great present. I know I'd love to get a mint condition NES in box with a few games. I would play the shit out of it for days on end!
