Plonkett 345 February 15, 2017 Share February 15, 2017 (edited) I'm not sure if many of you have heard of an animation program called Moho Pro (or Anime Studio Pro). It's a vector animation program like Flash, but more professional (kinda like Toon Boom). What makes the program stand out is its advanced rigging system. G4's characters are animated with rigged vector puppets, but look at the comparison here. Just imagine how the characters would look in G5 compared to G4 using Moho. You'd have much more detailed looking animation puppets. Here's a taste of what the program is like. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XLJowPpdi2M[/youtube] Edited February 15, 2017 by vgmaster9
cmarston1 5,964 February 15, 2017 Share February 15, 2017 Interesting, it does seem like a logical step for the series to go on with animation software if they decided to use similar technology, however given the movie is being animated with Toon Boom Studio, I have a feeling that if there were to be a G4.5, or G5 it would be animated with that instead of Anime Studio Pro. Brainstorm 4,123 February 15, 2017 Share February 15, 2017 This is just my option, but I think the animation that G4 is in, works best.

Just because the movie is being animated with Toon Boom doesn't mean such a show should. Like I said, Moho has a better rigging system than Toon Boom. sweetolebob18 728 February 16, 2017 Share February 16, 2017 I'm not too familiar with computer programs. If I knew what you were talking about, I'd have an opinion but I don't. Like most Americans,I firmly believe NEW & IMPROVED is automatically better than OLD & UNIMPROVED. I remember 1960s & 1970s animation, so I'd immagine it comes down to $. Which means they'll use whatever works faster (to cut wage costs of animators) & quality will be a secondary consideration.

Toon Boom Harmony is being used in the movie which is FAR more professional then what a cartoon would use. I'd think they'd use a vector based animation format.
