ManaMinori 4,145 February 27, 2017 Share February 27, 2017 It seems all sunshine and lollipops, but comparing it to other generations, it’s actually pretty destructive, I think. The world isn’t peaceful at all, really. There’s the threat of freezing to death by Wendigoes, if you can’t get along with your fellow pony. The fact that other nations like Griffon, Dragons, and Yaks are loud, obnoxious, greedy brutes that need ambassadors of friendship to teach them what’s right is a shame for their species, which has somehow survived long enough without knowledge and application of this. The pegasi control the weather, seasons, the daily lives of nature’s animals, unicorns control the luminaries- and what’s more frightening- have the power to alter time and space at a whim (even moreso, that a princess has an entire school for powerful unicorns, who have access to all these forced reformation/ time altering/ overly op spells that can be used at a whim), and everypony is so far detached from natural occurrences or nature, that its something to fear. While g1 was also pretty destructive, the ponies didn’t have nearly as much of a hoof in it as they do in g4. Magic was scarce, pegasi didn’t control the elements of nature, and time rips were nonexistant. By comparison, Makes the peaceful era of generation 3 seem like paradise. No alteration of nature, luminaries, time/ space, threat of death by blizzard if ponies didn’t get along. 1 Under the Jellicle Moon- a site with cuteness, cat boys, and comic strips / Star Dreams Fanclub

Jeric 46,854 February 27, 2017 Share February 27, 2017 I would wager that the world of G4 is definitely more dangerous than the universes of the prior generations, though to be fair, we've seen a lot more of G4 than anything that came before. ManaMinori 4,145 February 27, 2017 Author Share February 27, 2017 I would wager that the world of G4 is definitely more dangerous than the universes of the prior generations, though to be fair, we've seen a lot more of G4 than anything that came before. true. No other generation has lasted nearly as long to warrant such a view of their world, but we knew enough of it. But all the time shenanigans are what really scare me. There's going to be a time, sooner than later, where it can't be fixed. (I have to wonder if all the altered timelines in past seasons were really even "fixed"). Surely enough, it's going to become so messed up, that prior gens start bleeding into g4, like in Too Many Pinkie Pies. (and while that would be great, to see past gen ponies/ same bases/ art style, etc. in g4), it doesn't bode well for all the op ponies- not just unicorns, who fudge up the world to such an extent with their freaky magic. Megas 27,703 February 27, 2017 Share February 27, 2017 G4 and G1 are the only ones with any real stakes at all, G4 just has the benefits of lasting longer than any other MLP generation And it's great. It gives people a reason to be invested, there's actual conflict, instead of a utopia where the worst thing that can happen is having the wrong dress
