Could magic colors run in the family?

Really, we've only really seen in two ponies off the top of my head, Shining Armor and Twilight, but could this be possible?

Possibly, but it's not like we get any information about how magical aura works in the show's universe.

This was sort of covered in another thread.  IMO, Unicorn auras aren't visible to other Ponies (They showed a clip from Sisterhooves Social where it takes Sweetie quite a while to figure out Rarity is using magic (IIRC, it was "Can Unicorn Magic Change Colors?" or something like that)).  Auras are put in to help viewers understand what is going on, like TVs showing the line of scrimmage in a football game.

So, it's probably a coincidence.

But its REALLY clear with starlight is using magic. (She's using a red arua caused by her anger)

But I generally agree that the aura is more or less for the viewing audiences benefit.
But I think it IS visible. But maybe more so to US.

I would love to see some elaboration within the show about why unicorns have differently colored magic auras. Like why is Sweetie Belle's green while Rarity's is blue?  Would be cool if there was some in-depth reasoning they could incorporate somehow. (I have heard people theorize the magic matches the eye color, but I that only seems to be a coincidence as MANY ponies to not go by this "rule")

She wasn't using a red aura. Starlight's anger was causing a red cloud, yes, but you could still see her blue aura underneath.
