The ponies had reached Canterlot and settled down a little. For about two weeks they had heard reports of enemy activity by listening guards secretly using The Mask. They knew that sooner or later they would come to the Canterlot.

Meanwhile with help of a pony called Magic Potion, The mare that was brought to life, had been helping random ponies into safe hiding place somewhere around Everfree forest.

In the depths of the everfree forest stood 2 Eldritch. One of them was the one who warned the citizen of ponyville, the other one was a male wearing robes.

Part of the robes covered his mouth, he also had a ponytail on his head.

"Are you sure this is the right way?" the female asked.

"It is, The warseer has been using this entire invasion as her opportunity." the male replied.

"I already know that she has devised some sort of errand that will remove me from this war." she retorted.

"Not in such an accurate way, she is not aware of your betrayal, but she does distrust to some degree."

"Figures. She wants me to eliminate some individuals, it is yet to wich kind of path I will have to choose."

"Your mission is to eliminate, yes. But if you use this opportunity to resist her plans, then that is your choice," he replied.

The three ponies were quietly talking to each other. "So, in that situation, Mask has total control?" "Yes, only that way we can use most of its powers, and it will also share part of them with you two, enhancing your powers too." "What about you then, what will happen to you?" "We don't know, The Mask has never done this before with a pony as a host, but you should not worry about that."

"Arlayna, we are getting close, you do realise what will happen once we set this plan into motion?"

The said as he held some sort of sniper rifle in front of him, scouting the area.

"I know very well what this will cause, even more numbers among our kind will be destroyed but in this matter, it is our only course of action."

"Iythronel is obsessed with the prophecy, she would rather march our entire race into oblivion than walk away from the opportunity to gather this weapon."

"Anyone who has an obsession with power would want to get their hands on Isha's blade, the power that weapon possesses is too big for anyone to even understand its peak of power, hence why it has been stored away from everything." The male replied back.

"Then only one course remains for us is to awaken Teharissa, The Howling sentinel of doom."

"We will have to hope she is willing to help us, she does not care for mortal standards in a way that we do." the male replied with concern.

"it is only fate that will guide her, and it is fate alone that will decide whether it will lead that to our path, or theirs."

In the shadows of the Everfree forest, close to the two Eldritch, was hooded pony. The pony was wearing brown full-body robe, fully hiding his appearance. He was motionless, letting out no sounds, listening the Eldritch speak.

"Then we know our objective, this betrayal is going to cost us dearly tough." the male said.

"This war has already costed us dearly, all because of the prophecy, there is something darker behind this. The fact that the trice born had been mentioned in the prophecy is already a disaster on its own. But his role in this entire ordeal has yet remained unclear, why one of the most powerful beings in history would be interested in such a world is far beyond me." Arlayna replied grimly.

"It is perhaps not just this planet that plays a part, the prophecy did mention it as a *wandering* threat, wich means the doom itself has not yet appeared on this planet, perhaps not even in in this realm." he replied back.

"Then our mission is clear to us, we must find the truth behind this prophecy, only Isha herself can show us what dark truth she has been hiding from the rest of the galaxy for so long. We must mount an assault on the Eldritch encampment, how do you propose we do this?" she asked him.

"We are outnumbered from 2 to 200, but numbers don't mean anything. We sneak towards their camp, and mount a fast hit and run attack, throwing their defences into disarray, in the ongoing confusion, we will have enough time to gather Teharissa's soul stone." he said

The hooded pony stayed quiet, he was staying still so well that, few small animals passed him from really close distance, only his smell of poison and potions keeping them from touching him. Curiously he listened two Eldritch's plans.

After an hour the stood at the head of a cliff, looking down at the encampment.

"It is time, do your part, and Teharissa shall answer our call." She said.

The male nodded and cloaked himself with his magic, becoming invisible.

Arlayna looked at the encampment from above.

She waited for a few seconds until she started levitating a small bit into the air.

The lenses in her helmet started to glow, the runes on her armour/robe started to glow and in different colours, the runes each having its own colour pattern.

A massive storm of electricity and energy impacted on the encampment like a massive thunder cloud.

The enemy soldiers were thrown into disarray as most of them were attacked by the storm, some of them being obliterated by all the physic energy.

In the middle of the encampment stood an altar, wich was protected by a magical barrier.

Inside the altar lay the soul stone of Teharissa herself. An intense red glow emitting from the stone, her fury could be felt radiating in the air from all the power she possessed.

The male sprinted at a massive speed towards the altar and fired some sort of magical blast at with wich destroyed the alter entirely.

Yet the soul stone seemed to remain unscathed by the blast, and he picked up quickly and ran back towards the cliff.

The hooded pony had followed them and was now watching from afar, as they fought in the encampment. He quietly muttered to himself. "And I wondered how she had returned to life. Mask is going to have the time of its existence."

The 2 eventually retreated a bit back into the forest.

When they were at a safe distance, he gave the soul stone to her.

"It is time to summon her."

Arlayna and held the stone in her hand and started to chant.

"Teharissa, avatar of fury and vengeance, hear our call! Grant us an audience with the legend herself!"

As the words were shouted out, the soul stone started glowing even redder than before.

Eventually, something manifested at the top of the hill.

A figure totally clad in white ancient armour, and with a helmet that had long red flowing hair on the backside.

On the front of the helmet was a mask that held the appearance of a threatening face, the lenses of the mask radiated with power.

But what stood out the most was that the figure itself seemed to be burning, her entire body and armour was clad in an intense everlasting flame, as it radiated from her presence.

"Prophet  Arlayna, long have I watched you from afar, but now it is time for us to finally have words."

The voice of the spirit had a weird distortion in it but could be understood very easily.

"Avatar Teharissa, you do me a great honour. To what do I owe the notice of an ancient prodigy?"

"I expected you to be a leader, instead you are a petty servant serving that delusional war-seer of yours."

The pony got closer again and observed what was happening, again staying fully still. He thought to himself "I have to wonder if Mask knows something about that thing." He made a mental note to contact them when he got back to his place.

[MickeyAdaptus 2,211]

"I only served her so I could get closer to the secret of this prophecy, she is blinded by her own hunger for power."

"Yes, such is the insignificant mind of a weakling, they cannot comprehend the truth of battle."

The ground under Teharissa's feet started to burn, eventually so much that a bit of the forest around them was set on fire, her energies radiating from her mere presence.

Yet the flames didn't seem to reach the other 2, almost as if an invisible barrier was stopping the fire from approaching them.

"But your own incompetence does not excuse your own, one of the 4 legged herbivore's has been following you the entire time, it only took me 3 seconds to notice a change in our surroundings, but your senses failed you terribly."

The pony jumped back from the flames but didn't seem to react in any other way. When Teharissa mentioned him, only reaction he gave, was slight grin-ish smile on his hidden face. He was calm, with no sign of fear or panic.

[MickeyAdaptus 2,211]

"You are showing no trace of fear, that is precisely what I admire, but do not mistake my admiration, I haven't seen any value from you so far."

"What is your goal in this little game of pursuit wanderer? Perhaps I may see value in your existence yet." her voice trailed trough the forest.

The other 2 looked at him without much signs of emotion, just blank stares.

"I don't show fear because there is nothing for me to fear." "And game of pursuit? wanderer?" The pony shook his had slowly."no, no, no, I just wanted to know what were you doing at my backyard." "That is, The Everfree forest."

"Fear is something that most life form possess. But I wonder, does your species feel remorse, anger, fury?"

Her spirit turned into flame, a trail of fire was heading towards his direction when she reformed right before his feet.

She put 2 of her fingers against his head, tough she was a spirit, the fingers felt alive, but at the same time, no life force could be felt from it.

"You seem eager for something, perhaps you feel the excitement of murder, or rather the preservation of life?."

She grasped his hoof with her hand, and squeezed a bit in it, testing his muscle strength.

"Perhaps you own both of these features, how about you show me your strength? Fight me with your full power, and you may be able to keep up at my pace."

She said as she manifested herself 20 feet before him.

 

[Catpone Cerberus 23,677]

The pony just blinked when Teharissa came at him. "We can feel all of those, I just don't bother." He took off his hood and just looked calmly at her "And I have to disappoint you, I don't fight." "I know hundreds of ways to kill, mostly poisons and...." explosion and dog whines was heard from distance "...explosives, but I'm no fighter." "But I know someone who probably would love to fight you, though I have feeling that the fight would never end."

"Now that is a shame, for a moment I could swear I saw a light."

"But so be it, potential is not something that every being possesses."

She said as she manifested back into her soul stone.

Arlayna looked at him.

"You do have a certain potential, it would be a waste to let such skill go to waste in this entire endeavour..."

"You seem to have already overheard everything, so I would like to make you an offer."

 

[Catpone Cerberus 23,677]

"I'm not really into offers, but let's hear it anyway." Pony said rather dismissively "Maybe for once I hear an offer that is even remotely good." "But, just to be clear, I will not go against my fellow species."  

[MickeyAdaptus 2,211]

"You won't have to fight your own species, this offer is, in fact, a chance to save them."

"You help us retrieve Isha's soul stone, and we will then help you drive away the enemy that is currently attacking your planet."

"But if you are not interested, feel free to walk away, we are not here to slaughter, we are here to uncover the prophecy."

[Catpone Cerberus 23,677]

"I fail to see what use I would be." pony said, without revealing what he thought about the offer. "I'm just humble potion maker, with no enemies, alive." "i know three ponies who would be lot more suitable, you might have met them already" "And you seem to be pretty powerful, where could you possibly need me?"

[MickeyAdaptus 2,211]

"You may have not the potential battle, but that is not always required. A champion of a million years old has felt out your inner features.

And even acknowledged it.  You may not be a strong fighter, but you play a bigger part in the prophecy then you realise."

"That is also when Teharissa mentioned your *light*. With your help, we may be able to trace the location of Isha's soul stone."

"Join our quest, and we can end this ongoing war on your planet for good."

Pony thought for a moment, "I guess I could give it a try, I just need some equipment first" without waiting for reply, he walked deeper into the forest. He shouted from the forest "Don't follow, area is highly booby trapped!"

They waited for him to return.

"It is pretty ironic, isn't it? Millions are fighting this world, yet don't even know the true price beneath their feet. You would expect the inhabitants of this planet to notice what has been build beneath their own cities." the male said.

"There is something far sinister going on that you or I can even comprehend, but from what I can summarise it has been affecting everything on this planet, preventing them from even bothering to figure it out. Because whoever has been doing that is rather subtle in its methods, had it not been for the prophecy then no one would have figured out there was something even going on here in the first place." Arlayna replied.

"The Devourer will never lose its lust for souls, and so it's only logical that his servants keep their purpose going on for eternity. But I still could not comprehend how someone as the Thrice-born would even be doing here, he possesses so much power that he would not even bother setting foot on such a planet, he would have rather swallowed it whole, this entire prophecy seems to have some sort of deeper purpose behind it." he replied back.

"Wich is precisely why we must figure it out, If it is truly him then Valtrek is the least of our worries." she said with a grim undertone.

After some time had passed, the Pony came back, carrying two saddlebags that seemed to be made from tough material, and were tied around him in a way that they would be impossible to be removed by force. He was also carrying what looked like small blade on his back. "We going?"
