Mirror Magic's effect on FiM

While I absolutely hate the idea of Stinklight Gutter crossing over from Equestria into EQG (and NOT being trapped in the mirror's purgatory pocket dimension for all of eternity), and working with Sunset Shimmy to stop a bad guy, I'm gonna try to be positive here. -inhales- -exhales-

Could this team up be the beginning of having Sunset cross over into Equestria more often? There already exist 2 mirror portals- one in Cadance's possession, and one in Twilight's, so its not like access from the human world is restricted. Secondly, pulling Stinklight/ Starlight in - given her reluctance to actually learn any lessons of abusing magic and cutie marks might result in good for Sunset Shimmer, perhaps messing with time shenanegans and accidentally altering the past to where Shimmy wound up becoming a princess while Twilight never became Celestia's student, and fast forwarded it to the current time, where the effects of SS's coronation led to turn Celestia into Nightmare Star. Or maybe She persuades Shimmy to stay in the pony world, to join her crew. Thinking about it, Both She and Trixie could benefit from Sunset's learning experience.

Do you seriously have to call Starlight names whenever you bring her up? It's a little ridiculous.

 Also, I doubt Mirror Magic will have any effect on FIM at all. FIM will likely keep going as normal with no references to EQG outside of Flash maybe showing up in the background to make bronies cry again. We might get some more specials involving Equestria on the EQG side though, which would be nice. They still seem to want to keep EQG/FIM sort of separate from each other.

I just see this special as a means of giving Equestria Girls another chance to be able to hold its own without having to rely on the show all the time. While I do prefer to see the two brands come closer together, I can understand why the staff might not want for that to happen. Starlight meeting Sunset was an inevitability and no doubt this will result in a lot of things happening from an official standpoint and a fandom one.

How do you come to such a conclusion,  wth pony princesses, pony princess protégés, human ponying up, AU EoH ,  and Equestrian magic seeping over, all to blend the worlds closer together, more and more?  The special (nor the movies) is hardly holding its own, without having to rely on the show.

It seems very likely that the staff DO want them to come closer, because they're not taking steps to push them apart. And just like Flash in FiM, we'll be seeing SS soon enough.

She is always triggered by hearing about Starlight. Don't be bothered by it too much, i really find it hilarious.

She is just mad because it's not her "precious shimmy"

As much as I would like to see Sunset cross over into the actual show, I highly doubt that will happen, and I doubt Mirror Magic will leave an impact on MLP FIM.

We fans cannot come to such conclusions and as such all we can do is make a best guess. Only the show staff themselves know the answers though they may not always know what they are. I still believe the two brands are canon with each other even though one influences the other more and not so much in the other direction, but again, only the show staff know the answers. Flash being in the show was actually two things. One was a surprise cameo the animators included without the writer knowing about it and the other was a special request.
