While I was doing what I do best on here, necromancy. Reviving old topics I spent the past half hour or so reading old posts of mine in some of them. It really pisses me off actually seeing the extent of the poor mental state I was in from that job I worked at. These are posts from the 2020-2023 range. It makes me reflect on my entire work experience at this company as a whole. It’s been awful, and that’s putting it lightly. Sure I’ve gotten higher up the totem pole now. But at what cost. It certainly gives me a lot to think about.

Um... I'm generally quite happy with my older posts on here, but I definitely look back at various creative ventures other years and cringe.  I'm embarrassed by a lot of old things I've made and written.  It really helps to remind myself that, despite how it feels in the moment, it's actually a good thing.  It means that one is growing, changing, and improving.

In everything we do, at any age, we all have to start somewhere.  We all make and say things that we cringe at later.  We improve a little bit at a time.  Try this: go to any huge youtuber who has been on the platform for a long time.  I'm talking the biggest of the big, the ultra famous, uber millionaires.  Now scroll all the way down to the first video they ever posted.  Chances are (if they didn't delete it), it's complete crap.  Then slowly scroll up and see how long it took before they started to get better, before they started to even look recognizable.  Look at the first video that Rhett and Link ever posted, or Mr. Beast, or The Hacksmith, and then compare it with their latest.

Nobody starts out perfect.  Not liking your old stuff just means that you've come that far as a person.  It's a good thing.
