John was now snuggled up in bed with Scarlet and he was wearing his blanket as a cape plus he had it wrapped around himself and Scarlet...

 

JO: To be honest Scarlet since I've activated the system shutdown procedures I'll fall asleep really quickly now! So goodnight...

Scarlet gently draped an arm over John with the cats in between them and she falls asleep, dreaming of just how much better her life had gotten in just one night. The purring from Princess and the kittens also helped her rest easy and feel safe and warm, she knew that if something were to happen to her in her sleep, John and the cats would alert her parents.

John then started to dream of Troneon getting developed and built. He then connected to Scarlet's dreams and now Scarlet was looking at a time lapse video of the world getting built up into Troneon. Plus Scarlet could now also see the interface in John with tons of numbers and displays for the advanced sensors that were active in his sleep...

How-ever, it wouldn't be too long until Scarlet's dreams would turn dark, as she thought on what could have happened at Knox City that night, and it started to affect her in real life, as her body started to convulse and shake, as she then sat upright and started shaking really bad, sweating profusely and rocking back and forth, as well as looking white as a sheet. The cats had been the first to notice as they were scratching at the bedroom door, meowing loudly for attention.

It was too late, as the attack had begun, Princess then jumps onto the bed and bites John to wake him up to alert him of the dire situation that was happening, but perhaps it wasn't enough, so she then closes her eyes, presses against him and does her best to insert herself into his dream as a beautiful anthro version of herself to call him to attention.

He then quickly pressed the button to then instantly wake up himself hoping that Scarlet would wake up with the press of the button. John also knew that the button would also be an emergency stop button for Scarlet's subconscious thoughts...

John was already looking at Scarlet in shock and he was already getting flooded with errors from Scarlet's system and the errors were highly critical and dangerous. John then quickly pulled Scarlet to himself and locked Scarlet in a tight hug with him hoping the unexpected change of position would snap Scarlet out of it...

It wasn't working, the kittens were now crying at the door, just as it quickly openned and Helen rushes forward and hugs Scarlet "Allan! Call an ambulance!" she calls out and Allan was already on the phone "It'd be better if we take her to the hospital ourselves!" he hangs up and calls back to her. Helen then looks to John "Help me get her dressing gown on then carry her to the car, she's having a very bad anxiety and panic attack!"

JO: Well to be honest I witnessed exactly what caused the attack in Scarlet's dream and she actually had a nightmare of that guy from Knox shopping centre rapeing her to then slice her throat with a large knife. I tried to save her but it was just impossible because of the time I managed to get into the dream plus I believe I even out of instincts stabbed the guy to death when he killed Scarlet. Anyways I'll need to call my parents about this...

 

John then called his parents for his dad to pick up...

 

DAD: John what's going on? Why are you calling us at this time...

DAD: Ohh no... The internal kill switch. It's a switch inside all of us and in John it could be triggered by Scarlet dying! If the switch gets triggered it's literally when the body kills itself by releasing a particular deadly neurotoxin that quickly kills the muscle cells and the first place it hits is the heart.

 

JO: It makes sense. Because of the design of my system I would have no good reason why to live anymore of Scarlet died so of this panic attack kills Scarlet I would likely die with her to as my body automatically kills itself in reaction to her death.

 

John then uncontrollably flung his head upwards to let out an ear piercing scream only to then slam his head down into Scarlet's chest to then pass out for a few seconds before slowly lifting his head up with it vibrating more than before...

As John was walking in the hospital he was struggling to walk like his legs were freezing up on him. Plus John's vision was now starting to glitch all over the place as things started to appear in abnormal colours to him plus everything stated to look pixelated for him. Plus John's eyes could be seen moving all over the place plus now his whole body was shaking...

 

JO: I don't think I can even trust my senses anymore as my eyesight is literally starting to go haywire.

"With the severity of the attack and the amount of morphine we had to use, there is two risks actually, both equally as bad as each other, one is that she will recover but develop a morphine addiction and the other...she will simply fall into a coma"

JO: That's it. To be honest she probably won't get addicted to it because of my connection to her preventing that sort of thing but still if she gose into a coma it would put me in a coma with her. Plus if we go into a coma there's a likely chance that we'll die here while in our coma if we die in the dream world of our coma. Though because I'm feeling what she's feeling it seems she's trying to escape something that's trying to kill her. Like it's some sort of monster in her mind that's trying to kill her but it's drowning in the morphine.
