Comparing the Movie's Style to the Style of "The Moon Rises"

As the title suggests, this is the thread where you can compare the style of the upcoming MLP:FiM Movie to the Disney-esque style of the popular fan-animation "The Moon Rises". You are encouraged to tell us your opinion as to which style is better (Or perhaps you think they're similar?), and most importantly why. Don't be shy! Stir up a conversation! But remember to be civil!

They both use the same software. Beyond that I can see far more differences than similarities. 

Also Moon Rises is way closer to Disney than the MLP movie, particularly in movement. The pony movie is slower and more fluid with movement than Disney and this. Design styles are obviously completely different, but that's to be expected since Duo incorporated more of their personal design tastes. 

I honestly have no idea why people are comparing either of these to Disney. I think people see quality as synonymous with Disney.

Yeah, I did notice that the animation was different for the MLP:FiM movie was different than from the show, but it doesn't bother me that much.
