Well I'd say it's pretty well acclaimed, it just could be a little more well known.

 

My thoughts exactly, it's likely because it's on the wii, since the Wii isn't known for great RPGs, but Xenoblade probably the best RPG I ever played. Like you said, it's critically acclaimed, but really wish more people played it

Indeed, I agree completely. But I'd say that what the Wii's RPG lineup lacks in quantity it makes up for in quality, with stuff like Fire Emblem, Monster Hunter, and of course Xenoblade, plus I'm excited to play The Last Story next month.

Yeah, Wii has good quality RPGs, just not a sufficient amount i guess to satisfy some RPG fans. Also i remember hearing about Last Story a while back, If it is coming out next month i might have to increase my gaming budget for next month

August 14th I believe. I really love how action-packed the gameplay looks, what with how it combines hack and slash elements, third person shooting/cover system, and giving orders to your party like a squad.

Xenoblade and The Last Story are two of the most wanted Wii games and most wanted RPGs this entire generation. The ONLY reason I haven't played Xenoblade yet is because I don't have a job to buy the game.

 

Are there any good NEW games I should look into?

 

Define "new" because there's lots of RPGs that have come out in the last year or so that are pretty well received such as Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, Dragon's Dogma, Xenoblade Chronicles, The Last Story (not out in NA yet but it's been out in PAL regions for a while), I've heard Rainbow Moon is pretty good too. Just to name a few.

Trying a new RPG (thanks you steam promotion).

Divinity 2.

For the moment it's funny, the story isn"t the most interesting I saw but there is a lot of book and if you are interested you can learn a lot about the world.

The gameplay is between the RPG nad the beat em all, it's realy weird.

 

 

I'm also gonna try the missing link of deus ex HR.

 

Are there any good NEW games I should look into?

 

If by new you mean that appeared only a few time ago (or will be released soon) you have:

 

Legend of Grimrock: an old gameplay of dungeon RPG with decent graphic, fun to play and hard to finish.

 

Witcher II: now he's not "new" anymore but I still consider it as the best 2011's RPG, a mature and interesting world, wonderfull dialogues, a character given, but with a lot of posibilities of customzation.

 

Dark Soul: it will be on PC soon and I cant wait, take a monster hunter game, make it a hundred time harder, you've got dark soul.

 

Diablo 3: so brainless that it's not realy an RPG, but so much fun for the same reason.

 

 

As I'm writing this message i'm wondering, is that me or is there less and less project of RPG games ?
