To be honest, just the thought of humanity killing ponies on sight entirely reminds me of the anti-Barney humor that used to be more commonly around back in those old days. In fact, such humor dates back to about 25 years ago, after the show first came out on PBS.

All the abusive humor to the purple dinosaur we've seen -- it's just like humanity doing the same thing to other animals!

Well I mean, there's humor in the irony that everyone's favorite child-friendly purple dinosaur is secretly a scumbag.  That and you also have Rule 43 of the internet: "The more beautiful and pure a thing is - the more satisfying it is to corrupt it."

To answer your question, yes, there is plenty of "anti-Barney" humor still around.  Just look at the pony.mov series by hotdiggitydemon.
