Although most people knew about it before it was officially announced, the game was officially announced yesterday at Capcom Cup 2017. Is any one else hyped about it?

There is also a Street Fighter Anniversary Collection coming to PS4, Xbox One, and Switch in May.

Wait, I specifically remember Capcom stating that this is what they WOULDN'T do, making additional versions like this. Seems that was a total lie. That or the poor sales of the original game prompted this. And of course it has to be PS4 exclusive because reasons. I am surprised that the Anniversary Collection isn't exclusive to it either. I wonder if there will be a digital version upgrade to the original SFV. If not, hooooo boy.

Capcom mostly sucks. Nothing but re-releases and 'updates', including re-releasing games that were on the Xbox 360 despite the fact that the Xbox One has backwards compatibility. I am tired of their garbage. They can still make good games, but when they make a new game, that is few and far between.

I knew someone would bring this up, so for people who already own SFV, you don’t have to upgrade to this version in order to continue to play the game. There is going to be a free update. I think they would have kept their word if the game hadn’t sold as poorly as it did. That being said, they’ve really managed to improve the game since it was released. I am hoping this will bring more players into the game who might have been turned off by the lack of content. I know it sucks that it’s exclusive, but Sony helped fund the game. Microsoft had an opportunity to pick the game up, but they chose not to. I am guessing it was because of Killer Instinct.

I hear you about the re-releases, but this year did see the release of RE7 and Marvel Vs Capcom Infinite.

Well, i am mostly hyped for the collection, especially looking forward to playing Alpha 3 Online, since that is a first. :D

SFV is a dissapointment in my opinion and it still is. Arcade mode should've been in this game since the very beginning and not such a half-assed character story mode.

I never played much of the Alpha series.

I agree about Arcade Mode, but I disagree about SFV being a disappointment. I think it’s one of the best fighting games to come out in a long time, but to each their own.
