It's not that you have the problem. It's that I also went to a state school and absolutely despised it. I'm now going to a private school and have already gone almost 2 semesters.

This one was not a bad one, the problem is that here some local....persons viewpoint is that it's good you made trough one, but it don't have a technician qualification, than you are a peace of...pancake. But anyway, these are the colleagues I don't wish to anyone, they are cool, the awesome, and anybody else is dumb, I sad I was trying to be polite and nice...I regret it.

I've been wondering on shading, but considering the source material (MLP doesn't use shading much; gradients are another story ) and the fact, that it's a little pixel game, I'm not sure if that would be necessary. 

It's a platformer shooter of some sort; you can find more information in my blog here on mlpf.

To be honest with you... College in 2018 is mostly a waste of time and money for the majority of people. Studies show that college is only worth it to specific people who fall into specific categories and if you don't fall into them, then it's a waste.

It is true you can self-educate yourself and do online courses but I'm in my honest to god opinion, having an instructor teach you in person and being able to ask any question you would like to is so much better than doing it online and waiting for a response that may never come.

Plus, many employers still look for that diploma of higher education.

Sad part is, nowadays you need at minimum an associate's degree to perform even the most menial and entry-level jobs.  In mot cases, they wont even look at your CV unless you have that.

This is pretty much it. You need at least an associates if you don't want to be stuck working minimum wage jobs for the rest of your life.

College is so damn exspensive in america too I went to trade school but found out i'd only be making 8.50 an hour working my ass off. The job I have now is no way related to the the trade I studied. I think I made the right choice though and in a couple years I'll hopefully get a better position.

It's not for every person. Some people are the perfect fit.

Like if you are in the top 30% of your class in high school? You are automatically more likely to graduate. If you are going into specific fields as well.

Sadly schools with insanely high tuitions target people who were at the bottom of their class, have to take out loans and are less likely to pay them off quickly because that's how they make more money. There is a TON of predatory education out there.

Mostly to the US because other countries do college differently than the states do. Schools are more for profit in the states meaning money is what motivates schools, so you have to be careful because their intentions are not always to help the students get into careers.

See that's inherently the problem. So many people going to college, so employers are now upping the requirements for jobs. A 4 year degree used to set you apart, but now you're in an ocean of other people with 4 year degrees to where degrees are being devalued.

The smartest thing to do for MOST people is go to trade school or join the military to get started and then if you decide on a different profession later you will be able to pay for it up front so you won't be in debt. If you decide NOT to go for a different profession, you're already in a good job.

The BEST move for yourself if you do not know what you want to do is go to trade school or join the army. Do NOT try to "find yourself" in college because you will be SPENDING money to do it rather than if you're in the military or trade school where you're going to be GETTING PAID TO DO IT (Most trade schools send you to an apprenticeship where you will be paid to learn). In short: while you're figuring out what to do with yourself, it's smarter to be getting paid while you do it.

The days of "go to college and get into a high paying job after" are gone for most people unless you are born into connections.

Now naturally if you know what you want to do, and you have a plan on how to make it happen, college may be a better choice. But MAKE SURE YOU LOOK UP ALL THE FACTS. Do not assume because say "programming is a growing industry" that means getting a degree in programming will net you a job. Look up what kind of connections you need to get into a job, ask around, talk to companies on what they look for when they are hiring. See how competitive the field is, etc. The number one way that people end up wasting their time going to school is they realize they are NOT a competitive person and they pick a job that is insanely competitive.

That's the problem if you give in and allow jobs to require that, then you are selling yourself short and it means they will continue to raise the requirements. The more that people are WILLING to put up with this stuff, the worse it gets.

What trade did you go into?

And it goes without saying in that even though trade school is a SAFER bet, you can still get unlucky.

 

I went to college and I have an associate's degree and now I work for the government overseas. I didn't even need my degree to do it and I'm making more than I ever did in the states. So...

It was an automotive trade certificate and I make more just working for this factory and people get raises and promotions often.

I myself know exactly what I want to do with my life. I have set forth a plan on how to do it. I know I want to do something with IT and I found my niche in networking technology as of currently.
