Dust mostly comes from customers too, although I guess some could come in from outside

given the early hour, I think I will hold off on stiff drinks, just for now

Seen a few friends go down the route of one occasional drink becoming several every night.... and don't want to go there. I need to be able to focus on my job during working hours, and turning my brain to mush every night isn't a good idea.

No, it's not.  I know, because I went down that road once in my younger days.  Nowadays it's one or two on the weekends at most.

Not been down that path (although I have seen it from others) but I know myself well enough that the obscessive behavour I exhibit in other areas COULD apply to alcoholism too.

I do need to make an exception at some point though. Haven't had any visitors in a while, so the single malts I gave myself as an xmas present a year and a half ago still sit unopened...

I know. And I appreciate a good whisky - to the point I won't have more than a couple of singles or so as it numbs the tongue, and you can't get the full flavour. Its just hard to break rules, even if I do set them myself....
