ChancelorPuddinghead 47 February 17, 2018 Share February 17, 2018 This is a poem I wrote about my cat. It's meant to seem like it's about something else though. Read it and let me know what you think. -ChancelorPuddinghead Mountain's Snow Spoiler Your smile Is so wide Your hair Is tangerine If you're pretty On the inside Please tell me ‘Cause I don't know I've never seen your true self show I've seen the mountain’s snow On the top of the hill cliff And I've seen the endless drift of trees Bright bright green But I've never seen your heart And where it's at right now Is it sparkling white Or is it black as hell? The wind might knock me down sometimes And you might pull me out of the night My dreams become true But I don't know if that's you I want to see the sunlight On the inside too I wish I could just talk to you This is a poem I wrote about bullying. Before you jump to conclusions, this poem is not about me. It doesn't matter who it's about. It just matters that I want people to stop bullying now. I hope you bronies are inspired by this poem. Don't Need Sin Spoiler I can't stand them I can't stand their ways! Their words hurt like ice, Their eyes blazing fire, Somehow that's what everyone admires. They push and they shove Until they get what they need. They're never gonna get it. They can't achieve Greatness If that's how they believe They'll win. By hurting the ones Who carry what they want, But not what they need. They don't need sin. The bullies got hurt once They know how it feels, They were the bullied, They should know better Than to make deals With the devil himself. So leave us alone! We shout, As we soar towards the stars, We can't hear their roars anymore. Our hearts heal like a bandage heals our skin, We don't let them creep back in. Hey bronies, before you read this, keep in mind that this is not how I think at all. I wrote it in a different person's perspective. I really hope you like this poem! Meaningless Spoiler Meaningless happiness On Valentines day The world so joyful Their love will come Everything's okay That's what they say Meaningless hearts So naive They'll give cards to their universe And light up the stars Oh how wrong they'll be Meaningless world The stars will fade Or run away Faster than the world can catch up And tell the stars hiding in the trees “I love you, happy Valentines Day!” Everything we touch With love brings hate To this treacherous Valentine's Day Hearts get broken The world does too Happiness won't last We all fall through The cracks of the edges of the Rollercoaster called love It makes me sick to my stomach Just thinking of Valentine's day Does not equal love You solve the equation To get heart breaks Meaningless, meaningless Valentine's Day. Hey! In short, this poem is about me and how I have so many ideas in my head about what to write, but once I pick one thing out of my mind and onto the paper, I forget about the rest. I really hope you liked it! Tell me what you think. -ChancelorPuddinghead What I'm There To Find Spoiler I feel like my talent comes and goes I jump in jump out Of the universe as we know But never get exactly what I'm there to find I feel like it's repetitive bounce Up and down up and down It leaves the world for only a moment Only for it to hit the ground With no idea what direction it was starting to go In the air Wild eyes searching, Grasping an idea Brings it back to earth But the atmosphere pushes it back up again Into space, out of my mind Never to be found I never get what I'm there to find New ideas start to come And here the cycle repeats Repeating for eternity I never get what I'm there to find The gravity pulls me down Before I get a chance to turn it around

Divine plywood 1,232 February 18, 2018 Share February 18, 2018 These are all great Pudding! (I'm starting to sound like a broken record here) Especially ones that are written from someone else's poit of view. Your works are wonderfully ambiguous. It tells something about your skills when your poems can be read in many different ways, like "Mountain Dew". I would never have guessed that it's about your cat. I'm glad that you added that clarification, it made the poem even better. Somehow I was even seeing some political perspectives in "Don't need sin" when bullies want "greatness" and make "deals"... Of course that's just me overanalyzing things. I really don't read poetry in any other language than my mother tongue. I'm surprised that from all of the places this, forums dedicated to animated ponies, is what changed that...

I'm surprised that from all of the places this, forums dedicated to animated ponies, is what changed that... Aww! Thanks. I'm glad you like them. I really enjoy writing poems that people can interpret in multiple ways. I think I can write a poem about almost anything. Sometimes I just write poems that aren't about anyone I know, and not about something I relate to either. I just try to find something that I think maybe would relate to a few people. The poem "Meaningless" I actually got the idea from the shows and movies. You know how someone breaks up with you and then you hate Valentine's day after that. I'm really wondering if other poets can write poems about stuff that doesn't relate to them at all... What I'm trying to say is if you have any ideas of what I should write about, I will try to write a poem about it. It would be better if the topic was deep. I'm better at those. And again, I'm really glad you like these poems. I'll post a few more today since I wrote a lot of poems this week. (I feel like pointing out that my cat is being cute right now 🐈)
