Guest April 28, 2018 Share April 28, 2018 (edited) You're a director now. What songs would be in the soundtrack of your movie? It's a short flick, so we will set the limit to 5 songs. Edited April 28, 2018 by Guest

Jordan D 149 April 28, 2018 Share April 28, 2018 Mine would probably be a fantasy-adventure film based on a book series i'm planning so... The Bard's Song (it's only fitting, the bands discography inspired like half my series though I think I would try and get a more light version) Wings (a it cheesy, but I think the whimsical atmosphere fits what my series is about, adventure, kindness and wonder) Last Night of Kings (would fit in the backstory, as the chain of reactions that set the plot off was an assassination of a king some ~100 years ago) Brave Heart (English cover) (the theme of overcoming obstacles through sheer grit and determination is something I try to emphasize in my stuff, and this song conveys that pretty well) Sacred Worlds (an inspiring and moody song, not a perfect fit for the world i'm building but it's not to far) Head admin and founder of MLPWiki.net. Lover of high adventure!
SharpWit 2,718 April 29, 2018 Share April 29, 2018 There are plenty of epic songs that could be used in a film, but the song is nothing without the scene. Demise of a Nation We open up on a fleet of ships lead by a King. He's lent his naval superiority to an ally country and has just destroyed an enemy blockade. Only one opposing ship remains and it's sailing towards them. Wanting to personally take this victory he orders for his flagship to move ahead of the fleet. (0:12) The Flag ship fires a warning shot. (0:24) A second shot is fired and we pan to see it fly over a lone ship sailing toward them. (0:36) A third shot is fired, this time splashing down in front of the ship. (0:48) With the lone ship in range, the Flag ship starts to turn it's broadside towards the lone ship and gets it's first hit, followed by seven more. (1:12) The Flag ship has completed it's turn and begins to unleash the full power of its three decks. The lone ship keeps a straight path as it's masts fall, railings explode into clouds of splinters and bow gapes open from the volleys tearing through it. Victory appears evident as the upper levels of the lone ship become more and more obliterated. (1:48) In the heat of this one sided battle, it suddenly becomes evident that the lone ship will not stray from it's course and it's too late to avoid the collision. (2:00) The King braces for the impact and as the music fades we are met with an explosion that tears the Flag ship in half. (2:08) We see the King laying unconscious on a peice of floating debris. Zooming out slowly we see the flaming wreck sinking as still bodies litter the waves. (2:19) We move to a wide shot as fleet sails in to see what can be done. Hate - Dark Piano A Queen eager for the return of her triumphant husband waits at the docks so she can be reunited with him the moment he steps off the ship. But why is this ship here and not his, and what's being carefully lowered from it's deck? (0:17) The soldiers carry a stretcher past her and she sees only his face exposed from a white sheet. Reality hits her. (0:31) She rushes to stay by his side and he's brought through a long corridor with rows of fog glassed windows. (0:52) the King stirs on the stretcher but only to cough up blood. They arrive at an infirmary just as he begins to convulse. He's held slid onto a bed and held down as more blood drips from his mouth. The Queen starts screaming for them to help him but she's rushed out of the room. (1:08) The doors are slammed in her face and she pounds at it, bruising her fists. (1:20) She collapses against it and begins crying. (1:52) Some time has passed and she's awoken by the tap of a shoulder. One of the doors is creaked open and a doctor stands above her saying she may now enter. Slowly she stands up and step by step makes her way inside and toward the King. He lays on his back, eyes closed, body motionless except for his very shallow breathing. She kneels down and takes one of his hands in hers and begins to massage it after a small kiss. It's noticeably cold. (2:33) Others enter the room. They're some of the King's advisors. They speak to the doctor, asking about the King's state of health and whether there's any hope of his recovery. (2:52) They excuse the doctor and in hushed voices begin discussing the prospect of succession, specifically theirs since there are no close male relatives to inherit the throne. (3:16) She closes her eyes and hold's the King's hand firmly. Filling with anger over the advisors only thinking of what they have to gain at the death of her husband. (3:30) They speak louder now, no longer acknowledging her presence. Rage seeped in and takes hold as their greedy talk became more and more septic. (3:50) No longer willing to put up with their insolence she jumps to her feet and curses them for their lack of loyalty to the crown and that they should bare a thousand generations worth of suffering before they before they be in the King's presence. They stand frozen by her words and seething glare. She points to the doors and screams for them to get out and without a word they scuttle towards the exit. (4:15) She turns back and leans slightly into the King, crying into his shoulder. I have 3 more songs picked out to go through but I've been at this for hours so I'm going to get some shut eye first.

BlackPony 77 June 2, 2018 Share June 2, 2018 I guess this movie could be a rom-com about two black lesbian women who love each other, but are scared to come out to there families, so they make up a lie about them being lifelong friends, and it somehow snowballs, until they're forced to come out. Their families accept them, and everyone is happy. Soundtrack 1. Janelle Monae - "Make Me Feel"(Opening song) 2. Aaliyah - "Try Again"(A montage of the girls lying) 3. Rihanna - "Don't Stop The Music"(A dance scene to relieve some stress) 4. Kendrick Lamar - "Alright"(Plays during the bloopers in the credits) 5. TLC - "Meant To Be"(Final credits after the bloopers)
Dreambiscuit 10,170 June 6, 2018 Share June 6, 2018 (edited) A Dream is a Wish, from Cinderella. Smile, by Charlie Chaplin. I See the Light, from Tangled. Pinkie's Smile Song. Beyond the Sea. Granted, these songs have already been written for other movies, but they fit a lot of situations, so here they are again.
