Shouldn't Twilight have created her own elements by now?

After watching an episode of Cardcaptor Sakura Clear Card-hen, last week, (SPOILERS AHEAD!!!!!) where a secondary main character realized before the main character that she was creating her own magical items, rather than continuing to use ones that had been left for her by someoe else, even though she had made those items her own, to suit her magic. Her magic had gotten much more powerful to where she was subconsciously willing her own magical items into existence and subjecting them to her power under contract.

So.....why can't Twilight do this, yet, I wonder? 

She and her friends are continuing to use and are attuned to elements that someone else (The Pillars) grew...even after they had been returned to the Tree's base. Twilight materialized a pair of alicorn wings for herself subconsciously, so what prevents her from synchronizing with her friends to consciously create magical items that are solely theirs and attuned to their power, rather than element hand-me-downs that have been passed down from Pillars to Princesses, and now them?

I knew this was the topic when I read the question.

I'm not sure, magic in Equestria doesn't seem to work that way and the Elements of Harmony were not created directly by the pillars, but were born from the tree they planted. If Twilight could make her elements they would either need a good amount of time to strengthen their magic or be significantly weaker than the Elements of Harmony.

If Twilight could make herself an alicorn and create a new type of magic (which Celestia said in Twilight's coronation), then I certainly think that she would be capable of fashioning brand new elements (or something entirely new) from nothing using that magic and attune it specifically to her and her friends.

CCS and FIM are two different shows with two different types of lore. The Clow/Sakura and now Clear Cards are created by their masters and, unlike the Elements, aren't the primary protectors of a fantastical continent. If Twilight creates her own Elements in the EoH's place, then Equestria risks to be in grave danger.

I haven't been keeping up with new anime, and had no idea there was a new Cardcaptor series! OMG! I can't wait to watch it!

 

Back on topic.

As said before me, Equestrian Magic words differently than Clow Card magic. If Twilight did create an element though, I suspect it would be the element of BOOKS!

Regardless of lore, the concept remains. Sakura is significantly stronger than she was before, and thus makes her own items rather than relying on someone else's- which would be inadequate for her developing powers since she has far outclassed the one who created the secondhand items. 

 

The same is said for Twilight and the mane 6 to the Pillars by comparison. Twi has outclassed Starswirl  since day 1. The remane 5 also outclass the other pillars who are more like travelling companions than BFF's. I think they should have their own dues ex machina items of some sort, as opposed to hand me downs of weaker ponies in the feild of friendship.

Why would she? The existing elements work fine.

I don't really see any reason for her to. As a matter of fact, It would be quite unwise to create another set of elements that could potentially be stolen and abused, so why should she put Equestria at that risk when she already has one set of elements to protect?

I don't think Twilight or any one pony is capable of creating new elements. The EoH were created from the combination of the magic of all 6 Pillars of Equestria which themselves were very special. Also none of them expected their efforts to take shape as the Elements themselves.

Perhaps if Twilight and her 5 friends reproduced the efforts of the Pillars a new set of elements may be created eventually.
