Before I get into this theory, I want to warn that I'm not too well-versed in MHA, and make this assumption based off a limited viewing of season 1, and what I've seen off YT analysis and reviews of later seasons, but nonetheless, let's get into this.

 

Ok guys, so what if the Incredibles and My Hero Academia are connected? How is this, you might ask? In the first movie of the Incredibles, a villain named Syndrome sought to create a world where everyone wouldbe a 'super', by selling his inventions and essentially making superheroes nonexistent by redundancy. In the world of My Hero Academia, nearly everyone has a 'quirk' which allows them to be a superhero. Perhaps this is Syndromes' idealized future brought to life in this timeline/ reality. In addition, in the Incredibles 2, a villain names Evelyn Deavor reveals that her goal is to eliminate superheroes due to the community having complacency and no desire to defend themselves when something goes wrong, while Shigaraki, a villain in MHA, has a conviction that society is being coddled by superheroes to the point of complacency and over-reliance due to the supers' constantly saving them. Perhaps this is someone who comes later in the timeline to continue pursue to Evelyn's ideologies.

I think it just  a common ideologies...you would see that a lot in some of the marvel and DC characters, or any heroes related story.
