The mention of sun made Jenna miss it, sure they had been in there for only about two days, but the constant darkness made her miss sunlight "To be honest, I'd prefer some rotten eggs over this, at least there would be some variation." "But mentioning space made me think about something, do you think this place has the international space station?" "And if it does, does it look the same as the planet, or were whoever may have been there isolated from all this?"

"Yeah, it'd be different from staleness," Oliver agreed. He tilted his head as he considered Jenna's question. "Maybe it does. I wish we could see the sky from here."

An idea came to him. "Maybe that's where everyone is?"

"The ISS?" "Nah, that houses only like what, five people?" Jenna pointed out "But it's possible there's some kind of space thing, after all, time isn't exactly normal here, this could have been more technologically capable place at some point." "But even then, since the local version of me was still clearly here when everything happened, not everyone would have gone there, in fact, most probably wouldn't."

"Yeah, but you'd think we'd see at least one other person if that was the case," Oliver pointed out. "So if they didn't go off into space or something, where did they go? Or... what happened to them all?"

"That is indeed the question." "And as I brought up earlier, the matter of animals only complicate it, since they are nowhere to be seen either." Jenna reminded "7 Billion people is one thing, but then you add all the billions of birds, insects and other animals, and it's a whole bigger mess." "I mean, obviously everything, expect that weird mold, died, we can tell that from the plants, but that's lot of dead things nowhere to be seen," Expect one, her local self, though even in that case Jenna wasn't sure if what she had seen was real, and she had been too afraid to check.

Oliver frowned, not liking the idea that everything had died. But he couldn't deny it was a possibility.

"They couldn't all have died, right?" he asked. "It'd be... really messy around here if they did."

"The plants are dead, so no reason to think it didn't affect creatures." Jenna pointed out "And that's exactly what I meant, one would think that billions of insects and birds and stuff dying would leave something behind." "It also raises the question of why the dead plants are still here, if nothing else is." "We haven't seen as much as a dead fly anywhere, but all the plants are still where they died."

"Yeah, that's weird," Oliver agreed. None of this was good to him, and he didn't like thinking about it, but he wanted to help figure this out somehow. "Maybe... maybe whatever did this doesn't eat plants?"

"Possible." Jenna agreed "Or it could be the mold that seems to be growing everywhere has 'eaten' everything, be it the cause or a result of whatever happened." "Though it does bring up the question of time again, because normal mold doesn't exactly work fast." "So either things have been like this for lot longer than we could ever guess, or that mold is lot more dangerous than we assumed." "We probably should avoid touching it, just in case."

"Maybe it's some kind of evil space mold or something," Oliver suggested. "It'd explain why it doesn't act like normal mold, right? Or maybe it was made in a secret lab by mad scientists." He shrugged. "I really don't know."

"It could also just be...supernatural." Jenna admitted "I do generally believe that there's always a logical explanation, but there's nothing logical about any of this." "The time weirdness, rips between dimensions, undead things, unnaturally even darkness and constantly neutral temperature...the list goes on." "It is, in lack of a better term, total magic."

"You think it's magic?" Oliver asked. His tone suggested that he wasn't mocking Jenna, but agreeing with her. "It would answer a lot of questions, and it wouldn't be that weird considering what you can do."

"By definition yes," Jenna admitted "It is kinda a non-explanation, but we have been thinking about this long enough to conclude that whatever it is that has done this, is either supernatural, or otherwise outside our understanding of reality." "Be it a being of some kind, an unseen energy or force, or just different laws of reality, to us, it is pretty much magic." she then became slightly defensive, be it in light-hearted manner "I like to think that my powers are bit more than magic, sure I still don't know how or why I have them, but at least I understand how they work."

"I was born with mine," Oliver explains. "I got them from my parents."

He looked around again and frowned at the devastation and lack of life around him. "I don't think I could ever do something like this though."
