Jenna reminded "No one can know that I'm here, so you need to look like you are still alone." she though for a moment "And I don't think I need anything else, but you probably should get yourself something you can defend yourself with...a weapon....just in case."

"Yeah, good idea," Oliver agreed, biting his lip at the idea of not having any weapons in the house. "Well, there's a lot of knives in here, I could use those."

He shrugged. "But I'd probably be better off getting a real one."

"Knifes are only useful if you know how to fight with them." Jenna mentioned "You have no chance in close combat, but I can train you a bit so you know what to expect." "At least in that way I know you can escape."

Oliver frowned upon learning knives wouldn't be a good option, but he perked up at Jenna's proposal to train him.

"You could train me?" he repeated. "Are you sure I can learn dragon stuff? I'm just a human and all."

"None of it is dragon stuff, in this form we are bound to exactly same limits as you are, exception being stamina." Jenna calmly pointed out "And it still won't remove the need of a weapon, because I simply don't have time to train you to that state, because it's years of training, and not only that, if the Viper is older than me, even my skill is worthless." "It just would give you a small chance to escape, which is the best I can offer at the moment."

Oliver nodded slowly, listening intently. Jenna was trying to help him stay alive, which would help her stay alive, so he was more than happy to at least try.

"I'll try whatever you can show me," he assured her, smiling.

"Well, let's go then." Jenna said, getting up and walking to the next room where there was just a bit more room "Do you have anything that could work as a wake weapon?" "I'll show you why you won't be able to do anything in close combat."

Oliver followed Jenna into the next room, and halted when she asked for something to use as a fake weapon. He looked toward the fireplace, and reached down to pick up a poker.

"Will this work?" he asked.

"It's good enough." Jenna nodded "Now hold it like you would if I was a threat." Jenna then waited for Oliver to do like she asked "I'll warn you when I make my move, but you probably understand that in real situation there is no warning."

Oliver nodded and looked down at the poker, realising he wasn't so sure how to hold it. On the end like a sword? Or with both hands like a staff? His chest ached with embarrassment.

He chose the sword approach, holding it on the end with the tip pointed toward Jenna. "Okay, ready."

"Good." Jenna replied, it didn't really matter to her how Oliver held the thing, this was to prove a point after all "Here I come." she said, and quarter a second after she said it, she stepped forward, and with quick movements she disarmed Oliver easily and was soon pointing the poker towards Oliver from the same place where she had started from, it was so quick it was hard to see what exactly had happened. "And you're dead, and that's just what I know, Vipers have trained lot more than that."

Before Oliver knew what was happening, Jenna was speeding around him, and he found the poker in her hand and pointed at him instead. He blinked and looked up at her. "What just happened?"

He listened to her and nodded. "Okay, so, how do I deal with that?"

"Well, you can't." Jenna simply said "That's why close combat is not valid option for you." She flipped the poker in her hand offering it back to Oliver the handle towards him "I can show you how it's done, but I just wanted to show you why it's better that you don't get close, why you need ranged weapon if you want to have a chance."

Oliver frowned, not liking the thought of having no chance unless his weapon was ranged. Which meant he'd need a gun or something.

"I've never really used a real gun before," he admitted, his cheeks flushing red.

Since Oliver didn't take the poker, Jenna put it down. "It's not really that hard." she assured "But it don't necessary need to be a gun, it could be something like crossbow too." she pointed out "Both are just as effective against us in this form, and just as useless against us in the real form." "All that matters is that you can injure them enough to slow them down so you can run away."

Oliver nodded, but was still unsure. He'd never used a gun, or a crossbow, and he didn't know where or how to get either.

"Is there any way to without a ranged weapon?" he asked, not feeling right about asking Jenna how to kill one of her species.

"To run like madman and hope they won't catch you." Jenna replied "You can try to throw something but there's high change that it'll only annoy them." "But if you want, I can show few moves you can try to fight back with if you can't get away."

"Fair enough," Oliver muttered, shrugging at Jenna's simple advice. He was good at running, though like a madman? He wasn't sure.

He looked at her upon hearing her offer, and nodded. "Anything you can teach me, really."

"I can't really teach anything due the limited time, but I can show few things." Jenna corrected " Now, grab me or something, anything that resembles an attack." "And don't hold back, don't worry about harming me." She then waited.

If Oliver was to do something, Jenna would easily counter it without a scratch.

Oliver nodded and put his fists up. He never really learned how to fight, so this would be a good chance, he supposed.

He raised a fist and tried to punch Jenna, reluctant from not wanting to hurt her.

Due his reluctance, Oliver's punch was nothing impressive and Jenna just caught it with her hand, "Okay, I see this isn't going to work like this." she let go of his fist "Let's do it differently then, I'll tell you what to do, hit, grab, etc." "And you do that in slow motion, while I show and explain how to counter that, understood?"

Oliver frowned and looked down, blushing. He had the feeling Jenna was getting frustrated with him. He just didn't want to hurt her, even if he felt like he couldn't no matter how hard he hit her.

"Right," he muttered and looked up at her, "ready."

"Aright then, so...." Jenna then started instructing Oliver what to do and showing what to do in as counter, then doing the same with Oliver being the one to counter, later speeding up the moves a bit, still keeping them rather slow since this was the first time for Oliver. This lasted until it got late, around 11 pm Jenna called for stop "Aright, I'd say that's enough for now."

Oliver kept going as long as possible, listening to Jenna and following her instruction as best he could. It was difficult at first, with him having no prior fighting experience, but it got easier the more he tried.

He nodded when she said they should stop, panting and sweating. "Y-yeah, sure..."

Jenna didn't seem exhausted, in fact, she wasn't even sweating, "It went well for someone with no experience on this type of things, but don't go around confronting dragons quite yet, that wasn't even near what it is really like." she scanned Oliver with her eyes, "And it's clear that you're in huge disadvantage stamina wise."
