Ruby looked behind her, being able to see in the dark, she knew rest of the creature "It's you..." she then suddenly turned towards Somnus "..Please tell me you can see and hear him too."

Somnus looked over to Ruby.

"Yes, I see and hear him too. Do you know this guy?"

 "You praised her intelligence like it's unusual." The creature said, coming forward, reavealing himself to be a cat-pony hybrid. Ruby seemed relieved that Somnus saw him too "I don't know him per say, but he's who led me to that cave where I studied things, before just...not being there." "I did no such thing Ruby, the dragon in the hole." "How do you know about that?" "Know what? I don't know what you're talking about." he then walked to the horn that Calti liked and poked it with his hoof curiously.

"I wouldn't necessarily mind that" the catpony replied, poking the horn again "And I wouldn't really call you fully sane either Somnus, living as long live as you have is bound to have effect on your mental state." he then bounced at the horn, throwing it around like a cat would.
"That is an excellent question, the door is the only way in and even his scent just appeared." Ruby replied to Somnus, looking around her to make sure there wasn't any holes

"No idea." Ruby said shaking her head, after which the catpony spoke again "I work nowhere, I'm a cat, cat's don't need to work."

Calti just looked at Somnus confused for a second before returning to chasing the hamster.
"Probably better to not to." Ruby suggested "Captain would only lose her mind, if she'd believe you in the first place." "Calti huh, you dragons really don't have any imagination when it comes to names."

Somnus decided to ask Ruby something.

"Got any yarn? I'm told cats eat yarn or something. I'd give him yarn, but all I have is some catnip. I'm not sure why I have it though."

"I have a bad feeling I wouldn't succeed on that even if I tried, he has a habit to disappear without a trace." Ruby just muttered as a reply "And yarn, you should punch whoever told you that, as it's totally false." while Ruby spoke, the catpony had somehow managed to sneak right behind Somnus and was now sniffing around, searching for the catnip.

Somnus took the catnip out of the saddlebag and gave it to the catpony.

"Why do cats like catnip so much? What's so good about it?"

"Its smell and taste are....unique, basically it stimulates cats' senses in a certain way, I have never actually bothered to study it so can't go to details." The catpony replied, as he received the catnip "For me it just tastes incredibly good." He added as he ate some, he also gave some to Calti, but it wasn't enough to make her go crazy other than rolling around a bit, he then walked out of the field of view of Somnus and Ruby, and was nowhere to be found after that.
"Well, they may eat it by accident when they play with it, but it doesn't belong to their diet, and will most likely make them sick if they eat too much of it." Ruby managed to say, before realizing the scent of the creature was gone, she blinked confused and looked around.

Calti came over to Ruby and meowed "Oh yeah, sorry." Ruby then got up and walked deeper into the treasury, and soon a piece of meat flew through the air and Calti tried to catch it, only to miss and then run over to it and start eating. Ruby then came back.

The tiny hamster climbed into Somnus' saddlebag and starting eating a bunch of peanuts.

"If you can breathe fire, why wouldn't you cook food with it?"

"Because it's unnecessary." Ruby replied "Firstly it destroys part of the meat, secondly, it melts away the fat." "And thirdly...there's just no point, it's good as it is."

"Why do dragons need fire then? The only thing bigger than a dragon is another dragon, which isn't exactly easy to take down with fire. Everything else can be taken down with teeth and claws."

"It's a combat tool." Ruby simply stated "It's very effective weapon against everybody but dragons, and it works as a way to temporarily blind a dragon." "Our teeth and claw are effective weapons too yes, but you can smoke enemies out from hiding with flames, and it's lot quicker to burn army of hundred ponies than claw them one by one."

Probably under the impression that the castle is government property, and a dragon is clearly threatening him, he decided to draw is weapon. Of course, Somnus knew enough to see it matched the description of one of those human shooty weapons.

"I wouldn't try that if I were you."

Somnus had no idea whether or not that thing would be powerful enough to damage Ruby, but he didn't wanna find out. He quickly pointed his spear at the pony.

"Drop it."

"I'll put it away if she backs down."

The unicorn quickly got out of the way of the flames, but before he could open fire, the treasury door opened and Equestrian guards were standing there.

A high ranking guard spoke up.

"Ruby, you disengage now."

He walked over to the unicorn.

"We forgot to tell you the treasury is off limits. The dragon tends to be a bit grumpy."

"That... would've been nice to know."

"Yeah, she won't hesitate to eat you."

Ruby just grunted, letting out a cloud of smoke from her nostrils that floated up and disappeared towards the ceiling of the treasury, after which she laid back down, she didn't feel like correcting that eating wasn't a only thing she killed for, even though at this point it really wasn't in her mind, as she didn't feel hungry or anything, she just wanted some peace. She shouted after the guards, "Close the damn door will ya."

The unicorn and the guards walked out, closing the door behind them.

"You'd think they would tell him about the treasury."

Fluffball looked annoyed. Probably because his nap was interupted.
