Stephen Hillenburg Tribute Signature

This seems needed from me. Making signatures is what I do, albeit not so well, but still. Spongebob is one of my all-time favorite shows. To this day thinking of quotes from the first few seasons makes me laugh even to this day. It was integral to my childhood. This is all because of Stephen Hillenburg, who passed away very recently. It is because of him that I can have these laughs, as no other show stuck me with from my childhood as much as Spongebob and I will always cherish it and what he has done. So I decided to make this tribute signature for him. It is nothing mindblowing for sure, not much of what I do is, but I hope I capture the sense of Spongebob as it would not exist without him.

Rest in Peace buddy. I hope knowing that you have brought joy to so many people provided you at least some comfort in your very rough final year.

Here is the my DeviantArt link for the signature, if anyone is interest: https://www.deviantart.com/kyoshithebrony/art/Stephen-Hillenburg-Tribute-Signature-774407640?ga_submit_new=10%3A1543368789&ga_type=edit&ga_changes=1

Yeah, this was bad news for me. I absolutely adored Spongebob when I was younger but fallen out of it in the past years.

This news still saddens me. :(

I commend your art skills. You've done a good job honoring a great man. Even as someone who fell out of watching SpongeBob years ago, I can not feel anything but respect for Stephen Hillenburg. Even with such a terrible disease like ALS Syndrome, he never rested on his laurels and had the courage to stick it out to the end in what he did. I wish the best for his wife and child and salute him as I wish him a well-deserved rest in peace.

That is a beautiful piece of work--let me tell you.

It is the least I could have done. I only wish I could have truly helped him, but I think many us of wish that. I very rarely say this, but at least he is no longer suffering, something ALS puts people through. 99% of the time, 'celebrity deaths' mean nothing to me, but to me this man was no celebrity, he created joy through his work. Something I could only dream about doing.

This is going to be on my mind for a long time. This truly is something that makes me reflect on life and what we all enjoy, what we all hold dear. I think I am going to binge watch Spongebob soon. That is the magic of media, the creator may leave us but their work will remain, entertaining us for generations to come.

What amazing artwork. I'm happy to see people using their talent to honor a man who brought joy to so many lives. Rest in peace, Stephen Hillenburg.

To be fair though, what I made here absolutely pales in comparison to what many other people have made.
