G4 earth pony lore underutilized?

For a long time, earth ponies have gotten the short end of the stick. Neither fans nor writers consider them very magical compared to other races, and to this day, fans still argue as to what the earth ponies really have going for them. (Super strength seems to have since been debunked) 

 

Since g4 is fond of throwing g1 references around (Tirek, the Smooze, seaponies, Gusty, Firefly), it bugs me that they have yet to properly give. Earth ponies solid lore and strengths of their own through the franchises own roots- My Little Pony was literally founded upon the backs of earth ponies!!! (Minty, Snuzzle, Blue Belle, Cotton Candy, Blossom, and Butterscotch.) These 6 pony pioneers could be given representation in earth pony lore, to explain their abilities (or seeming lack thereof) for the descendants of g4.

You can't underutilize lore if it doesn't exist.

Earth ponies have no identity outside of friendship socialism. Their collective overarching destiny is literally covert servitude that can be, if push comes to shove, relegated to any other pony variant. You'd need to burn G4 to the ground in order to give them any kind of relevance that is not forced by some sort of Saturday morning disability masturbator who gets stiff at the slightest prospect of having some wheelchair kid save Superman.

In G1, some Earth ponies had more athletic abilities than most ponies like jumping (mostly jumping if anything). There’s not much to say on G2 cause everyone was an Earth pony basically and they were all mostly bipedal and human-like. Not sure if they had anything in G3-G3.5, but I might’ve missed something. As for G4, I always thought they had magical Earth abilities, super strength, and possibly a more horsey nature than other ponies.

you're thinking of Pony Tales, which is G1, not g2. (g2 didn't have a cartoon, my dear) But anyway, jumping farther and such isn't very impressive (especially when you compare it to some (not all) earthlings having the ability to pound boulders into dust with their bare hooves). Super strength (as I said in the op) is debunked as a power for earth ponies..... at best, it's a case by case basis.

I know the G1 toy line is different from Pony Tales, but I call Pony Tales G2 cause they’re bipedal Earth ponies who go to school instead of magic world-saving unicorns, flutterponies, etc. (in short, it’s so different from G1 it doesn’t feel right to call it G1 or G1.5).

Earth Ponies are every Joes in this universe with some exceptions like Pinkie or Maud. If compare them to yugioh monster, Earth Pony are just bland normal monster.

Yes, it does seem like G4 doesn't really specify on the Earth Ponies lore and abilities. It has told us that they have a connection with the Earth which grants them the ability to grow food far better than a Pegasus or Unicorn could. The show could touch up a little more on the Earth pony lore though.

This being said, I don't think that the show under utilizes Earth ponies themselves. Throughout the show we've seem quite a few more Earth Ponies than Unicorns and Pegasi. So obviously the show does care for them in that sense.
