The fanfic on the other hand is just a tad too dark for me.

Song was great, even if I'm a bigger fan of the sub-sequel to it, Awoken. The fanfic was mediocre. I always thought it was trying too hard to be edgy with its over-the-top characterization of Rainbow Dash.

As @Altastrofae sad, every brony meets it at least once. It is a good (but not nice, since it's dark) song, but I better liked the pegasus device story.

I don't think discussing fanmade content is. Just no gore. Grimdark can go too far. But Rainbow Factory is pretty light for the most part

The themes are too dark for me, I do like the song for it's melody and beat but that's just about it...
