To fill in the G4-G5 gap, sure. I’m not sure if Hasbro is willing to make toys of that, though.

I'd love a student 6 spinoff myself, but for a franchise named "My Little Pony," I'm not sure if it could actually work when only one member of the proposed main cast would be a pony. Still, I think there's plenty of potential behind it.

I’d love ANY kind of FIM spin-off. If such thing where to happen to fill the gap between FIM end to G5, they’ll either keep EG going, or make a series of FIM shorts at most

I mean we could always just call it by the generations name, Friendship is Magic and that would be vastly superior. There's much potential here for both character development and world building. The show needn't be limited by 1 race and background of characters.
