CastletonSnob 3,078 March 29, 2019 Share March 29, 2019 Who would you say has had more character development?
TheAnimationFanatic 3,596 March 29, 2019 Share March 29, 2019 I'd say they've both gotten roughly the same amount of development. With Big Macintosh becoming more open about his feelings and emotions. With Shining Armor, we've seen his more dorky, paternal side as of late. And he's contributed more to the main storyline Plus, you could argue that Shining Armor got more development since he didn't make the best first impression during his debut. "Work Hard! Metemponychosis 1,262 March 29, 2019 Share March 29, 2019 For me, Big Mac. It's not even a competition. Shining Armor is just another cardboard of a position to be occupied (that didn't need to exist to begin with), that happens to be quirky geek. https://www.fimfiction.net/user/32864/Metemponychosis For dumb, self-important fics about mythology, ponies and fascist griffons that can't figure friendship out. And I'm just getting started.
RDDash 19,195 March 29, 2019 Share March 29, 2019 Shining Armor, he got married a princess and dropped a kid with the power level over 9000, Big Mac can't out compete that.

True, but Big Mac was always at least an amusing side character, and he never disowned his sister. 1 "Work Hard! Context is for kings, here. There was good reason for Shining Armor to "disown" Twilight, in light of what he and any other pony knew at the time. Shapeshifting, emotion-eating bug ponies is probably a bit too far a leap for anypony to make, and Twilight didn't really know the score either. Plus, there was nopony, not even Celestia herself, who did not consider Twilight's actions to be beyond the pale. Seems a bit unfair to highlight SA as the jerk in this scenario, considering not even Spike believed Twilight. 1 Happy minion of The Fabulous One! But Big Macintosh is slightly more endearing since he started off as an amusing side character who's later appearances showed a layer of emotional depth. "Work Hard!
