This is an Advanced RP.

[IC]

So, since I did not have a chance to properly have fun with my adaptation of Velvet Crowe's character in a different RP, I was hoping that maybe, just maybe, I could find an experienced roleplayer for a casual RP of above setting.

The idea behind the RP is to have a story written by both roleplayers. What does it mean? While there will be a general story to follow, its conclusion will not be the main objective of it. They way everything will work is that any player, at any point when not taking part in an event belonging to another player, will be free to introduce plot twists, subplots, events and/or any number of NPCs they wish. NPCs will not require applications and can be recurring, secondary characters if need be. Shopkeepers, travellers, guards, whatever you wish. I always wanted to see how chaotic a book written by two different people would become.

For countless years kingdom of Kaldonia shared in peace and prosperity, being one of the continent's main hubs of trade thanks to its central localization and access to sea at its northern borders. People prospered and townships were raised, wealth flew into the nation. Yet, nothing lasts forever. It was painfully obvious to the ruling elite that some of their neighbours had their eyes on the prosperous lands and riches hidden within the king's treasury. The tension built up slowly and friction appeared in diplomatic relations. Kaldonia was doing all in its might to gather allies and keep the status quo for as long as possible. Their strategy was working well, up until the prince was found dead in his quarters, cause of death stated being poisoning. The culprit was found, however he never betrayed who hired him. Sensing the moment was right, one of the two rivalling kingdoms of the west claimed the responsibility for the deed.

The king had no choice. The nation was in turmoil and demanded revenge. Sheer peer pressure of his subjects forced him into a declaration of war. It was this, or losing faith of his people and risking infighting within kingdom. Nevertheless, ill prepared for the initial stages of war, Kaldonia sufferred several bitter losses while the two kingdoms, long ready for the eventuality of war, struck with surgical precision into its lands. Still, the kingdom's armies were vast in numbers and were soon sent to the front lines, pushing the enemies back before establishing a foothold. The war has now raged for 5 years, with none of the sides making greater advancements. Rumors said that both sides have recruited and deployed any and all combat specialists, magical users, spies and specialistic engineers to the wide battlefields. Some folk even wove stories of great silhouettes of dragons spitting fires from the skies, giant wolves tearing into enemy ranks or mystical snakes turning their victims into stone. While many of those creatures existed, it was a mystery if any of kingdoms managed to tame them and use them in combat.

What was certain, however, was that the lands near Katalonia's border were scorched to the ground, soaked with mystical energies which filled the air with anomalies, making it a natural minefield. The land was now known simply as Forsaken Lands, the lands abandoned by regular folk. Everlasting flames, dead burnt carcasses of now empty buildings, hollowed and withered trees. It was a natural landscape.

The war took a toll on kingdom, an influx of prisoners of war has increased the cost of life as well as army upkeep. The kingdom was faring fairly well however. While security within its borders was fairly lax, the border patrols themselves were increased and any newcomers scrutinized. Many were imprisoned even in spite of their innocence, some were actual spies. There were also those who had different crimes on their shoulders, but were accused of working for the enemy faction and thrown into jails as well.

While most of the inmates gave in without a fight, there were some too proud and too strong to allow themselves wasting their lives within prison's stones. Two of such characters were currently stuck in one of highest security prisons in the land. And they seemed to have just about enough of this charade. And thus, the story begins...

grusskarten-gotisch.regular.png

- Basic RP rules follow common sense. Godmodding against fellow player is frankly, prohibited. Against NPCs within reasonable amount.

- Standard forum rules apply in terms of gore or any kinds of more saucy content.

- Due to nature of RP, controlling other's characters will be allowed in reasonable amounts (if other side does not complain or not want to change it too much). The reason behind this decision is to have the interactions and scenes play out fluid. Knowing both characters at least a bit, one can even guess a few of their replies and it allows the user to keep the flow going. It also allows for interactions like running away and forcefully grabing the other character to run along with them, without artificially pausing the RP and killing the mood in the process, stoping the highly exciting moment in its tracks.

- I do expect NPCs to die, however before deciding to eliminate an NPC introduced by other player, do discuss it first if the NPC will not be required anymore.

- Characters are absolutely allowed to know things about their own past and know each other, either based on past mutual interactions or, should the be just accidental travellers meeting each other, through gossip/rumours/stories heard about somebody matching the description of the other PC character. This is to ensure fluid and natural interaction from the very start.

- Regarding powers - since this is a fantasy setting (elves, dwarves, magic, artifacts, relics, think: any generic fantasy RPG or MMO), PC characters are completely allowed to be stronger than majority of other characters. However, the responsibility not to become an undefeatable character in the universe lies solely in the character owner's hands. Don't start each and every combat with a single sweep eliminating everyone, don't always have the upper hand. Suffer wounds and losses and then if you wish, defeat your opponent, it only helps to keep everything more realistic.

- NO characters are omniscient - take notes and hints about what your character could know/hear/see/learn during the RP. If I starting thinking about betraying you your character does NOT suddenly become suspicious of my character and vice versa. We can know that OOC, but IC must be played out realistically. This applies to anything, not only example scenario provided above.

grusskarten-gotisch.regular.png

- Realism within given setting - IF we decide that the power level of characters is capable of razing an entire village with a fireball, that does not mean you could go on a rampage and not get attention of entire kingdom as a wanted person upon doing this. Think. Figure out the consequences of your actions and how they will affect the future story of RP, as well as NPC disposition towards the characters.

- Give me something to anchor my post in - while in some RPs a very short reply cuts it, I would very much prefer more detailed replies in here, even if it means typing them out would take more time. You can do nearly whatever, so don't leave me hanging. I need at least a few points I can choose to base my reply on, so that I feel I am given a freedom of choice on what I deem most important to react to.

- At least a certain degree of realism - while getting out of every situation by, f.e., threats and violent solutions is certainly a viable option, it would not only not always fly, but also would make the RP single tracked. I do expect most of the time we might be itching to unleash our characters strengths and simply have fun roaming around with them, perhaps turning everything to ash, however an RP world is open and full of possibilities that would best not be wasted.

- Natural interaction - our characters do NOT have to like each other or each other's decisions. This means they might sometimes want to go their separate ways (though it would be best if there was a common goal they are trying to achieve but in different ways). What this perhaps would mean would be a very short period of time where story splits for a very short moment as the two main characters split and go their own ways. They reunite afterwards in whatever the circumstances will feel most fitting (this could usually mean a time skip with retrospective posts afterwards).

THIS ENTIRE OOC IS A DRAFT AND SUBJECT TO CHANGE.

What I mean is that all the ideas are not only not fully fleshed out in my mind, but I also want to take into consideration expectations YOU might have towards it to weave them into the description.

If you ever decide to leave the RP, no problem! Considering the characters will most likely be accidental travellers or old acqueintances, you may choose to go your own way. I will then reopen the RP to anyobody else and give them a brief summary of what their character should, could and must know along with any major events that might have taken place.

@Passion
I have two questions about this:
How frequent post activity will you require (at least/slowest)?
How would the combat be done, or more specifically, controlling the enemies? Each controlling the enemy/enemies they are currently fighting?

As you can see I've been busy myself over the weekend. For activity to be honest I've never had any issues with anything. Sometimes people are just too busy with life to be able to attend to something as trivial as RP on site.

Combat, hm. I've been mulling this over, and I wonder if there is anything that stops the issue from being flexible? Controlling your own enemies gives you freedom of expression and writing out interesting combat arcs, but there is no issue in mixing it up and involving the other character into the whole combat. This is where the ability to control the other player's character comes into play. If you perhaps have, for example, a plan that would require cooperation of two characters, it's an opportunity to pull it off.

However, I don't mind having cases where it is my NPC/PC vs your PC/NPC, or even PC/PC if things develop... oddily.

In that case I would like to give this a try, I have never been part of advanced RP, and English being my second language, I may have bit of trouble especially in the start with making very detailed replies, but I believe that after some posts, especially if your replies have "lot to react to" so to speak, it should stop being a problem.

Then for the activity, I have usually posted at least once in 2 days (have tried to post once a day but sometimes there isn't time/energy/mood for that), but with this being more detailed than the other RPs I'm part of, my replies will most likely be slower then that.

Not like it's my first language either :P That being said, I often make use of Thesaurus and reliable translator when typing my posts and it's fun for me, because it gives me a little learning opportunities.

As for activitie even once per week would be fine, between forums, work and life I have my priorities regarding RP set straight myself :P

There will be a need of a few questions answered first though.

We need to come up with general story target and setting. I have been thinking of a standard kingdom in turmoil, at the verge of war or something like that. And this can be tied into our starting area and character backstories, but doesn't need to be. I've had enough of starting in towns with townsfolk, taverns, shops. There are so many chocies.

For example, for my character (I'll post her up later for your insight so you can design your own in similar fashion) it is perfectly fine to have her start in prison and make a break for it, to be later chased across the country. I ain't gonna hide, she won't be "good". She'll be selfish, on a mission and pretty much merciless/ruthless.

We could start on a ship, as any kind of arrivals, perhaps shipwrecked. We could start literally fleeing in the wilderness after stealing from an angry mob (for less than "good" characters).

You might want to come up with a target you want to achieve for your own character and develop the story on the go, alongside the main storyline. I gotta go to work so will discuss later ;x

Fleeing, being in jail or something similar could work for me,  because I was thinking if I could have my idea of D&D character I know I will never use in actual D&D game as my character.

In very broad synopsis, he or she would be a monk who is the last survivor of their temple/monastery, who doesn't really have personal morals, and only follows their God's/goddesses rules, which are pretty flexible, as in, "If you can't do it proudly, don't do it." or something among those lines (though the temple/monastery of course had its own rules added to that.)

His/Her goal could be something like collecting as much for their god's/goddesses artifact among just generally finding a new purpose in life (and if whatever destroyed the temple/monastery is a person or a creature, killing it of course.) Reason why they would be in jail or fleeing would be simply because they are the only survivor, thus the prime suspect.
Their lack of personal morals could also allow them to get along with your character,  though it would happen instantly.

And since you mentioned magic and such being opinion in the OP, for my character (if you're aright with the idea that is.) besides the possible artifact found during the RP, it would be pretty simple, as I was thinking that he would be able to summon/pull his staff (fighting staff, not magical) thor-style, and the staff would be blessed by the deity to be almost indestructible. (also gods and such being actual thing naturally.)

Sounds absolutely fair, including the staff thingy. I am thinking of having this a little bit more octane-filled, so none of your abilities are set in stone. If you ever feel like you need to write more things up to match the strength of my character, or vice versa, we're absolutely free to add things to the description. As long as we don't make it a competition which could turn our eyes away from the RP itself, we should be good :P'

Goddesses, deities, religion, magical creatures of any sort (dryads, elves, dragons, medusas, dwarves, gnomes, pixies, satyrs, angelic/demonic deities, you name it) are all deal.

One thing I'd like to underline however, is that whenever we feel we're getting too stuck in a certain point of RP (like f.e. fight is dragging out or dialogues are being sustained without a reason), it will be a good idea to do a time skip of anywhere between 1 to a few days and then have a retrospect of the events in first post. We can come up with events briefly describing them, having our characters take on them and move on to another new point of RP. So basically reset the pacing if necessary but still keep the continuity going.

Let's break it down.

Setting:

For countless years kingdom of Kaldonia shared in peace and prosperity, being one of the continent's main hubs of trade thanks to its central localization and access to sea at its northern borders. People prospered and townships were raised, wealth flew into the nation. Yet, nothing lasts forever. (This is now pasted into opening post, if you wish to add anything or alter it, feel free to do so and I will attempt to incorporate it as seamlessly as possible)

Now. To have fun with my adopted character:

Spoiler

Name: Velvet Crowe

Gender: Female

Race: Human-ish

Age: 31

Closes Allignment: Neutral Evil

Appearance:

Velvet_Crowe_(ToA).png

Description: ... I'm lazy, just look at the pictures k? Thxbai.

Apparel: Velvet is not the one to follow fashion trends. In fact, she's not the one to follow fashion. Or trends. Her worn out, raggedy costume is all she needs on a daily basis and, even in spite of many remarks of various nature towards it, doesn't plan on changing. It is a life-hardened shell reminding her of everything she's gone through and by now has become an inseparable part of herself.

Personality: Having many of her positive traits erased or washed out over years, Velvet is remorseless and knows not mercy nor pity. Consumed by long cherished hatred and despair, she will not stop at anything to achieve her goals. Having her way is worth any sacrifice. This, however, does not mean she is a mindless brute forcing her way through every obstacle. Velvet is fully aware that sometimes, in order to achieve something, one must take a way around. Her patience, although limited, dictates her to play her cards carefully to ensure she is on the winning side.

Velvet tends to express indifference towards all events, knowing they are nothing but temporary nuisances in her quest for vengence. She rarely allows her emotions to surface, and even then they tend to be shallow. She's practical, and even though her instincts developed a healthy dose of carefulness in her actions, she will not hesitate to take any shortcuts leading her closer to her goals. Even if it means removing inconvenient people on her way out of equation.

Backstory: Velvet was born as a second child to a family of five in a small village of undisclosed location. She was the middle child, having an older and younger brothers on her sides. Sadly, her younger from her by 5 brother was born with an inexplicable disease, which was quickly connected to magical energies developing in an inexplicable way within his body. Due to that, he was very fragile form his first years and throughout his entire life required constant care and attention. Their parents could not handle this burden and the family was split, with children deciding to fare for themselves with the help of villagers. Their parents left to be never seen again. At the time, Velvet was a sweet child, always taking care of her younger beloved sibling and cherished by her small village for her deeds. Her much older sibling was always fascinated with magic and all the good it could do for humanity. Over years he studied subcategories belonging to light magic, with all its healing, protective and offensive aspects used against potential evils of this world. Velvet however did not know much about his studies, as she was busy cherishing younger brother and spending time with him on a dialy basis.

It was during one of the nights, not different than any other, that her life changed forever. For reasons inexplicable, she woke up past midnight only to find both her brothers missing. Her initial search was fruitless, until she remembered the seaside shrine of unknown origin they used to visit to moongaze, situated at the top of the cliff. As she reached the location, she could not find any words to describe the horror she witnessed. Her younger brother, hovering in limbo above the seemingly endless abyss of the shrine's vast orifice reaching deep into the ground. Her older brother, wearing his sanctified costume. Unearthly voices and sounds coming out from the shrine's abyss itself could be heard all around. She tried to confront her older brother, who explained that in order to gain power capable of fighting evils of this world, a sacrifice of a pure heart was necessary. It was then when she realized her older sibling was a fanatic and attempted to stop him, however she was quickly pinned down with immobilizing magic. She was forced to observe how everything developed, thrashing about in desperate attempts of freeing herself and saving her closest family. It was all in vain and she had to witness the entire ritual. As the sacrifice was complete, rays of powerful bright energies were sent into the sky. The distraction caused her bindings to disappear as the man observed the event in awe, reveling in power. Velvet did not waste time and, with her heart full of despair and resignation, threw herself into the abyss to save her younger brother. As she stepped past the ledge, all she saw was darkness, with damned voices coming from below. She fell. And as she fell, her memories became more and more erratic.

She remembered being rejected, she remembered her core self being altered, her most negative emotions of hate combined with despair being amplified and overwhelming many other emotions she used to feel. She remembered searing pain pulsating through her left arm, awakening powers inside her she never knew she had or even existed. And then she remembered being thrown out of the pit back onto earth in front of her brother. What happened next was all foggy to her. She knows she went berserk and fought a long, exhausting battle using her newly acquired powers and deformed arm. Eventually however, her experienced older brother had subdued her and forcefully send her into dungeons of the kingdom, to rot away as he was unable to find the resolve to strike his last, misleaded member of family.

Velvet spent about 4 years in ther prison, thriving in her aplified hatred, never forgetting the betrayal she suffered from the hands of her brother. She kept herself alive just for revenge. She became consumed and obsessed with this idea. At once, she spent these years discovering new facts about herself. Most notable change was in her appearance. Her left arm was now charred, pulsating with red/violet smoke while uncovered. Initially, it was a giant claw, one that made her look like a monster. With pass of time, she learned how to control this transformative power and managed to revert the changes, its abilities ready to be summoned whenever the time called for it. Ever since then, she would cover the arm with bandages however, as the arm became a grim reminder of what she became. By the time she reconciled with the idea, she got used to the ever present bandages around the arm.

Other changes she noticed were of various natures. She felt stronger and faster, her reflexes seemed to have accellerated. But at once she lost any sense of taste and no food would be able to satisfy her. Instead, she began feeling a hunger. A truly maddening over time need for feeding herself with life force of other beings. No matter how much she consumed however, she would never be sated. Her arm would always demand more, feeding her the life force of creatures she consumed. Animals were a mere substitute, what she required was living, sentient beings. She felt that should she encounter beings powerful enough, she could grow in power just by consuming them. The question of morality did appear in Velvet's mind at initial stages, however she discovered morality ceased having any meaning to her. She did not feel compassion, guilt or shame. It was as if she was turned into a merciless predator, performing the deeds to keep herself alive. Over the first months, the prison's shady warden fed her some of the inmates, recognizing Velvet's strength and hoping to turn her into an ally of the kindom. She became a monster however. A being that would by all accounts be considered evil beyond the scope of imagination of many. And she quickly accepted it. However she never ceased understanding that in order to survive in this world once she regained her freedom, she would need to keep a low profile, thus she pretended to go along with the warden's foolish ideas.

Eventually, she built enough trust to be released. As soon as the gates were open, Velvet turned against the warden and the guards. The aftermath of his decision was a lifeless warden, a number of motionless guards and many wounded or unconscious, with Velvet nowhere to be found on the prison's premises.

Over years, Velvet travelled the world in search of traces of her older brother to enact her revenge. She would search for clues in towns and cities, but then stick to the woods, feeding off of bandits or lone travellers. In worst scenario, abundant wildlife or other creatures she would find. From time to time, stories of merchants mysteriously vanishing in deep forests or mountain ranges would surface, but Velvet would never leave any traces for anyone to pick up on. With time, she found out that her brother became a royal advisor and a well revered holy general of kingdom's most sanctified order of warriors. Her current objective was now clear. Head to Kaldonia, make her way to the capital, find her target and eliminate it no matter the cost.

She did not get far however, as some of her questionable actions near the kingdom's border have been spotted by Kaldonia's scouts and she was stopped at the border by a legion of soldiers. A legion she could probably defeat, however fighting her way through the lands of entire country did not sound reasonable enough to be worth it. In the end, they would have taken her to a place that would be closer to the capital anyway, so she was fine to let herself get caught again. This time, on her own will.

Abilities:

Velvet is not your regular magic user. Her regular, non-transformed form shows itself in augmented strength, speed, reflexes and stamina. This change allowed her to learn various martial arts over the course of her travels, however her abilities far exceeding those of regular humans allowed her to develop her own fighting style, unachievable to vast majority of non-magical beings. It proved an interesting defensive and offensive tool she took time to master and had many chances of testing in practice, gaining valuable combat experience. Even in her physical state however she is able to use her demonic arm powers to augment her physical abilities a bit further, but the extent is heavily limited in that form.

-mirrage_full-_Lord_of_Calamity.png

Her transformed state however turns her into a real monster, literally and figuratively. Velvet's shadow arm increases her strength exponentially to earth-shattering levels. It becomes her main shield and weapon. Her arm serves as a contentrating tool of her inner demonic powers. It also grants her access to specific, shadow martial arts she seems to known instinctively now. This effectively increases her reach by the range of a few specific magical assault abilities projected over her arm. The arm itself is also her main tool for devouring life force. Should she get a firm grasp at her victim, Velvet can proceed to drain their life energies. An eventuality of this action is the victim being devoured by being transmorphed into particles of pure energy and drawn into her arm, provided they are usually no longer able to defend themselves.

@Catpone Cerberus feel free to type anything out about your character to give me vague idea, and if you wish you find a random image on internet so as not to have to describe him :P It would help me in visualizing the events.

To have a link between our characters to make sense for them to follow themselves, you've mentioned the artifacts. I could have Veltet just wear an amulet, a family treasure gifted to her by her younger brother which could be recognized by your character as one of the artifacts in question. She would refuse to part with it until her mission is complete, he'd go sure, whatever, can find more if I travel with you anyway. Or any other reason you can come up with.

Also, might be a good idea to get a more clear target that you'd wish to achieve rather than generalized one, though it doesn't have to be right now at this moment.

Apparel: The Monk robe and clothes, also has a belt under the robe he attaches things like money bag and such on. Has cloth wraps on both hands (They are white like in the picture. He's never going to change them away as they are part of him, for both religious and life reasons.

Personality: Definition of calmness and patience, he has never been the emotional type, and with the years of meditation and rather harsh training, he has gained almost perfect control over his emotion, though that doesn't mean he doesn't show emotion if he deems it to be beneficial in the situation. Erwin is rather direct/outspoken when he decides to speak, as he has never felt the need to worry about offending or insulting someone, and that lack of care is part of his actions too. as he lacks the empathy to care.

Erwin has build his self around his religion and the only rule it has, If you don't dare to do it in your goddess's name, don't do it. The temple he lived in had it's own rules, mostly the usual, do good, no riches, no women, etc. but though he followed those rules, most of them didn't really become part of him, because he ultimately knew it wasn't something Delhena requires.

The Goddess: Delhena, the goddess of the Sun and Fire.

Backstory: Erwin was the only child of a rather poor farmer family, or at least that is what he has been told, as his family died in a house fire not long after his birth, and he was taken by travelling Delhena's monks who were passing by and had found him from the rubble, not only alive, but somehow with only mild injuries, they of course took this as sign from their goddess.

His first years were like any child's, a helpful woman had moved in to take care of him as mother until he no longer needed one, and besides all the stories and songs he heard being about Delhena, during that time religion wasn't really part of his life, but after that, it was a different story.

Life was hard in the temple, especially for a child, after Erwin had been taught to read, he followed the same schedule as the adult monks, and this included everything from studying and cleaning to many very physically and mentally harsh tasks that were pretty much self-torture. But eventually it got easier, and easier it got, faster it became even more easier, until it was everyday life, and the schedule never changed, nothing ever changed...until the war.

At first it stayed relatively normal, besides the turmoil outside the temple and few visits from the military, Erwin never learned what exactly the military wanted, but they always got the same response, The temple of Delhena does not take any part in the war...and maybe that was the wrong answer, because 5 years into the war, Brother Erwin came back to the temple after getting supplies, only to find that everyone was dead, killed without mercy, and the temple destroyed, there was only a group of soldiers waiting, they claimed he had done it, and arrested him without question, but he knew they didn't really think it was him...he didn't even own a blade.

Abilities:

Erwin's staff is blessed by Delhena, making it unbreakable by anything less than godly power, he has also gained personal gift from the goddess, which allows him to summon his staff anywhere he is, it usually comes flying, but if he's somewhere where that is impossible, the staff will break to ash where it is and appear from a bright flame to his hand. (he can also control the staff in the air, think it as, how you can change how stick comes towards you by pulling it from different spots.)

Thanks to his studying on fire magic, he is able to ignite and extinguish his staff in different ways at will.

Due to several types of training during his life in the temple, he:
Has ridiculously high pain tolerance.
Is very agile (not superhuman level)
Has more sensitive senses and faster reflexes than average human (not superhuman level)
Is very good with a staff (obviously)

You probably noticed I buffed his staff a bit, I got some inspiration while looking for a picture, and really, why would your character take my character with her instead of just consuming him if all he can do is to hit things with a unbreakable stick he can call back if he loses it :P

I'd say his goals for now are, Collect as many of the artifacts he can (I'd say there's 6 in total, his staff and Velvet's amulet being 1 each, so 4 to collect) and figure out and kill whoever is behind the attack (which I was thinking could be a general or something, which brings me to...)

The amulet could work, and it's magical ability could be something along the lines of becoming fire proof (but it would require one to truly..worship? follow? love?....the goddess for it to do anything (or it can just do it if you want to)), but to add to that, he could also have reason to come with her if the attack ends up being some one higher up in the military who also lives in the castle.

Velvet is not a mindless brute. She doesn't ask for help, assistance or company. But if someone decides to stick with her, she doesn't mind as long as they don't become a burden. She's more keen to treat such companions as an asset to be used when time is right. Just another tool to her means and reach her objective. She shares vast array of Neutral Evil traits, but not all of them, such us the need of doing evil when the decision needs to be made or thoughtless violence. Anything or anyone can be a tool in her hands.

Figured she would refuse to part with it for now simply. Say it's a family heirloom given to her younger brother by her older brother whom she is sworn to find and eliminate now, so until she has reached that objective she is not parting with it.

Then again, I figure both our characters should be equal in power, so technically your character could try to brawl it out with her eventually if he decides that diplomacy is getting him nowhere and they could just tire themselves out endlessly without a proper resolution, so Velvet's words of handing it "over her dead body" could take a literal meaning in Erwin's mind, waiting for someone to eventually best and get rid of her or something like that :P Tho idk how this would go with your chosen allignment.

Depends. Initially I intended them to be feral beast of sentience with fair intelligence but without direct ability of influencing them, living in secluded areas of the world where no man threads and occassionaly, rarely appearing in the lands.

If you have an idea for them, I will not question it as this world building should be a two-man thing anyway, and since I have no plans for them, I'm flexible in this field.

I'm thinking of slowly starting it out since characters are in, we can flesh things out on the go. I guess our characters would be complete strangers not even kept in the same cell, so a chance for retrospective introduction for me, then for you along with the chance of making contact with her as soon as they're out in the corridors.

Though morally that would be something he'd do, the monk training has stuck enough that he will avoid fighting if possible even if it takes bit longer, but of course if it ends up seeming to him that there is no way to get it otherwise, he will of course try to take it by force.

That works, I don't have plans for them, I just figured that Erwin would know a thing or two about the since they breath fire.

@Catpone Cerberus trying to get myself into working condition again.

If you decide Erwin managed to spot Velvet hinding and acts in a way that gives her a slightest suspiction he may know, you can freely consider she'll jump down to engage him in unarmed combat without using her main powers. Obviously, I'd rather have both at this point be of equal power for the sake of their confrontations and RP.

To match her power in future, I see no reasons for something like Miracles through Faith to not exist. Basically since your monk is a follower of a deity, I feel fine with having deities being physical beings capable of granting strenght to their most zealous and faithful.

If you only wish so, feel free to have them both exchange blows, as I've said I'd rather have both of us control both characters when it's possible. And if any of us misuses them (like I do something too much OOC for your char or vice versa) we can redact things to have them make more sense and reflect our imagination of characters better.

What about if he talks to her without otherwise showing if he knows her exact location? will she still attack, or will she listen?

Good to know you're fine with those, I was going to ask about it at some point. I will still keep them at minimum, only using them if necessary for reason or another, since it can get pretty boring if everything gets solved by what's basically "because magic". :twi:

Also, just a heads up, I'm not sure when I'll post since I'll have a busy weekend

Shoot first, ask questions later. She doesn't know him, she doesn't really need any sort of company. He's following her, it looks suspicious. Better knock the poor fellow out instantly and move on rather than waste time speaking to him when she doesn't know when more guards will appear.

Tho she's not expecting anybody extremely strong, so at least her initial hits and blows will be slam-bang. Any half-brained person could easily get over that frozen ice down there.

@Catpone Cerberus Took me a while but I'm feeling well enough to properly continue this if you're feeling like it.

@Catpone Cerberus

Been working on this. Got a little bit bigger map, but I wanted to design a more immediate area of our .... vicinity. Just a very quick sketch design at work tbh at this point so it's not as well thought out, I will need to polish it out.

Hoping to get it up soon so you can review and implement any changed you'd want. Don't mind random stuff in background, 'tis just a sticky note. And it is a VERY rough sketch.

Based on this version, I see no problems with it, so for now there isn't anything I hope to change about it :)
