I am a huge Junji Ito fan, so naturally, my eyes entered paradise when I saw this.

Not made by Studio Deen either, the same company responsible for the lamentably massive letdown that was The Junji Ito Collection. That and this trailer are good signs that this is not just going to be an inferior copy of the manga like Collection was, but a faithful adaptation that recaptures the unique effects and atmosphere of the original.

I never read the manga or anything from Ito despite knowing his fame as a horror author. It's gonna be interesting from a non-fan.

I don’t think the anime itself was a letdown since it covers most of the important parts of the manga. Sure it let out some few minor details but I wouldn’t called it a complete fail. I watch the anime first and then the manga but I don’t know what people are talking about being bad.  I think my only complaint is they should’ve choose more of  the better ones to be animated. 

Aside from that, I’m looking forward watching this since I like his horror shorts. I wonder if it’s in a Japanese sub though..

Good decision to adapt it in b/w  really helps the atmosphere I hope they don't screw it up

I really love Junji Ito's art style, the way he draws gore is so different from other artists and outlandish, I'm really glad they're keeping it.  The choice of keeping it B&W will probably really add atmosphere to it, can't wait to see it!!!
