Her and later circus baby got way over sexualized. It was not fun to see, especially if you were just trying to play the game for fun.

Incredibly random yet worthy question.

Good thing my fave is Bonnie

Anime. I watched anime but I didn't like it, I don't like absolutely everything there - the plot, the animation style, the actions of the main characters. Of all the anime I watched, I liked only two: Kiki's Delivery Service and Spirited Away. Hayao Miyazaki is the best Japanese animator and he has the best anime. I don't like all the other anime at all.

Five Nights at Freddy's, Poppy Playtime and all of these horror games with a appeal for kids, it's simply one of the weirdest and most curious phenomenon that rised in the previous decade in my opinion. I really don't get what makes the characters scary, they all just look goofy or meh in appearance to me (the "truly scary" ones included, like the animatronics from FNAF 4), the only thing that really scares me are the jumpscares in these games, but anything can easily give me a jumpscare, other than that, nothing really works in these games for me, they all try to have a deep story, but from what I saw all of them are meh to me.

A lot of adults and kids like them, for me it's weird specially when it comes to the kids, I mean, I understand if the "cute" characters call their attention, but, regardless of the quality, don't they shit their paints with the atmosphere and nature of these games? Do they even understand the story the games try to tell? And the adults? Don't think that things like Fatal Frame or Outlast are better?

I don't even know how Poppy got so much merchandise, there was a time I saw a lot of people showing toys based on it, and FNAF getting a movie was also a surprise for me.

Anyway, not really complaining, don't see a problem with people enjoying these games, though a kid get could a heart attack from them or anything, but I don't think it happens. It really just confuses me why these are so popular, I can understand the charm of a lot of things I dislike / don't care about, but not this one in specific. ~☆

I can give reasons

1. The story, a lot of kids got into FNAF and Poppy for story reasons

2. Characters, a lot of the characters design wise appeal to a wide array of kids and older teens

3. Youtubers, if kids see their favorite youtubers talk about something they'll want in on it too

As for me? I'm a combination of number one and the secret number 4, just because

Literally I just like CatNap, and Bonnie, that's mostly why I'm here, and making alternate universes when the story doesn't go how I want

I remember watching a few youtubers telling the stories of these games during a short time when I was younger, was curious to see how the games and the stories were like. I think they seem a bit too complex for kids to understand them, but if they really get into these games because of the stories like you said then I think i'll trust it. I even saw them talking about stuff like books, these universes seem to be really big.

Still I can't really understood what's the charm in them, I remembered that these are called Mascot Games, I understand what's the concept behind the creation, the appeal for kids is because they pretty much try to make charismatic characters, something that maybe "adult horror games" don't try to do (though for me characters like Pyramid Head are just infinitely more charismatic), like, Sonic and Mario but in a horror game (though these two also are infinitely more charismatic to me)

Maybe it's just me being a boring adult, but actually even when I was kid I wasn't interested by these games, I remember that in 2014 I already thought that FNAF looked meh, and I thought the same about all the sequels. I always preferred creepypastas when I was a kid, I still prefer them to this day actually, even though I don't really like them anymore.

Well, anyway I respect anyone who likes them, though I at least think these kids are smart enough to avoid stuff like Garten of BanBan. Everytime I saw someone talking about this series it was just to compare it with dumpster fire. FNAF & Poppy's character designs are already meh for me, but Garten of BanBan hits a new low :ButtercupLaugh:

Funko Pops, they're hideous, they flood almost every store they're in to the point they get sent to landfills, and their fanatics are vultures who've harassed countless personalities involved with the characters they're based on

I think this is true for... practically all countries that are culturally prominent or advertised for tourists, honestly. People see tourist versions of countries and go to them expecting a theme park (ESPECIALLY in capitals which NEVER represent a country accurately) and think they've seen anything, or in cases where they outright migrate, they expect things to be like Hollywood/anime depictions of the country and it's just all disconnected from the real country and its culture that isn't Instagram sanitised for their gaze.

I'm okay with certain types of anime, however the problem with some of them is not just the fillers, it is also how characters interact in the story, and it seems, particularly like with shonen such as Dragonball, they often do things which nullify their character development which I admit, makes me want to shout at my own screen sometimes.

I think the screaming and muscles argument or criticisms about laser fights is a shallow one though, there are far worse things going on in the show that bother people even more, even to fans who watch them.

I'm not annoyed because Goku has a Kamehameha beam struggle against Vegeta's Galic Gun in the first season of Dragonball Z Kai, Goku was in a tough spot and he had to do this to block the attack from blowing the planet up, to suggest Goku not engage in the laser fight to protect Earth in a precarious situation like that is ridiculous and shows how little knowledge people have about what goes on in the show. If they find laser fights boring, then don't watch it, simple, it's not that hard. I'd caution them against watching Star Wars though, if they find lasers boring.

What grinds my gears is when Goku makes bad decisions later on which do put other characters at risk, such as that time when he tosses a Senzu Bean for Cell to eat, or when he gives Frieza some of his own energy while Planet Namek was about to explode and he had so little time left. And that is one of the many examples where heroes make reckless decisions, sure, Goku is not supposed to be the most clever character out there, he is not a scientist or anybody like that, he is a warrior, sometimes foolish choices can lead to comedy but not in a situation like that. Even in Dragonball Super, the inept heroes of the show let Frieza live even after he manipulated Broly into attacking Goku and Vegeta to try to kill them. There's no growth, no wisdom in the two characters, that is bad writing.

I don't get bottled water in general. I know sometimes it's convenient if you're going somewhere but why at home?

And I especially don't get why people would buy the expensive brands, This Liquid Death crap. Wow, they gave it an edgy name and now you'll pay five bucks for a can of water. :eww:

Hi GERD and LPR reflux sufferer here.

My throat cannot handle the filtered water from the fridge or sink due to the irritation it causes my throat. In fact I can't even handle most cheaper bottled water brands like deer park. Those irritate tf out of my throat.

But I can handle alkaline smart water which is more expensive than regular bottled water. I don't know why but that's just how my body wants to be so.

So I can do two things. Listen to my doctors advice by not drinking or consuming anything that irritates my throat while taking my prescribed medication. Or buy something because it's cheap and deal with the consequences of not listening later on.

Usually I can see the appeal in most things, but...

Minimalism - sort of a weird one, but I feel like minimalism for everything has been on the rise. Sometimes it looks neat and stuff, but most the time it just looks bland or boring to me, like companies don't have to put any thought into design or marketing under the guise of "but look at how sleek and simplistic it looks!". I just really like colors and interesting stuff, I'd take tacky over minimal any day.

Mascot Horror - Poppy Playtime, Garten of BanBan, etc. I think most of the fandom is made of kids who are probably being exposed to this genre for the first time, so I'll give it a pass. Otherwise it all just seems so shallow and uninteresting. It's not even the quality itself since plenty of stuff I was into as a kid was really low-quality, it just feels...soulless somehow.

Most energy drinks - I think they taste fine and I'll drink them if I need to, but a TON of kids at my school are constantly drinking them and even having multiple a day. It goes beyond just needing a quick dose of caffeine, so what is the big draw?

Snapchat - seems inconvenient to use. There are a dozen more platforms I'd rather talk to someone on

Starbucks - Overpriced and kinda meh. I know old people say this sort of thing all the time, but if you buy a few ingredients and make your own coffee, you can have a ton of your favorite drink there for way cheaper than buying it multiple times a week.

A lot of Shounen anime - It's funny because I really like Shoujo or Josei anime, but a lot of Shounen anime is just...meh to me. A lot of my friends are in awe after they recommend "the most peak anime of this decade" to me and I lose interest almost immediately because I don't really care about the characters or the plot or the world or the fighting mechanics or the fighting itself or using the same jokes as almost every other Shounen anime. There are a few I really like, but it's just really hard for me to get into and I can't understand what has people raving about how great it is. Also I have never watched a sports anime because I do not like sports.

This is a big one for me too. I can't stand the dead, soulless look they almost all have. I guess the appeal is that they're just cheap and easy to get? But I'd much rather spend a little extra and get something that actually looks interesting and somewhat unique.

I may not be fond of all of the fight scenes in Dragonball either, if that's one of the shonen anime you're on about, there are many others, I've not seen most of the other ones but I can tell you this, as corny as the jokes or one liners are sometimes, with characters of a story trash talking each other like it is WWE wrestling, I'd rather that happen from time to time than have a story where no adventure really happens and characters talk as if they are in a soap opera day in day out.

There are certain types of story telling that make me roll my eyes and lose engagement with it.

Western cartoons can have this problem with slice of life too, My Little Pony Friendship is Magic could have used more drama and adventure in its story, but I did like the characters in the story and the world building. I guess I have something in common with the fictional character Rainbow Dash, sort of. I'd probably like the Daring Do book if I read it for the same reason as she did, action happens, risks are taken to achieve a certain goal, and the reward for doing it is spectacular.

My main problem isn't really with dramatic fight scenes, but with boring storytelling. I'm actually okay with some slice of life or "soap opera" type stories if the characters are interesting, the only thing that really turns me off of a show is if it's just one dimensional characters that I can't bring myself to care about (or if the show tries to lazily slap on some tragic backstory to make us care) and when it values those dramatic fight scenes over all character writing and pacing. An example of a Shounen anime/manga I really liked was Fullmetal Alchemist, both Brotherhood and the og, because of how great the characters and dynamics were. The story was told well I think and even though the characters go through a lot of bad stuff, we still care about them aside from that. The way that alchemy worked in that universe was genuinely interesting and the characters felt like actually developing people.

I don't like a lot of slice of life since I agree some parts tend to meander (unless it's a comedy that I actually find funny), but I love some animes like Nana or Princess Jellyfish because even though it's not some grand epic adventure with magic, there's still really interesting and relatable characters that I want to watch.

That being said, those are just my tastes. When it comes to media I'm someone who tends to gravitate towards stories that focus more on characters and storytelling than just action. Because of that I'm okay with more casual settings and scenarios as long as the characters are interesting and engaging. Also sometimes whether I like an anime is totally random. Like I really loved Saint Seiya even though that show IS purely action and a bunch of pretty boys beating each other up:fimyay:
