Every time I sing that song, I always ask the same question... Who is Granny Pie?

 

We have a situation where Pinkie Pie refers herself to be part of the Apple Family (Season 4), and there is a lot of old lady ponies around, as seen in "Grannies Gone Wild" (Season 8). Did we have another death in FIM?

I saw a headcanon once that made Granny Pie to be Surprise from the original MLP, and that her full name is Surprise Pie.

I have read a very good fan comic The Sory Of Granny Pie (about how she taught Pinkie the song, how she taught her baking, how she traveled around and went to Ponyville etc.), and I consider it to be canon for me.

My other headcanon that I made up is that she's her older self that came back from the future.
