I am watching the ads right now on Youtube. If this was now, the ads would advice us to "Sneeze and cover".

 

But Ponies don't have atomic bombs, or anything that horrible. Even with magic portals that rip you to other dimensions, it is still not even close to how horrifying the atomic bomb is.

Maybe not bombs but they have protection against high doses of radiation which says something about capability.

I'd say Ponyville might have duck and cover given the frequency of monster/villain attacks and how it was considered normal at one point, but maybe it's something of the past that Granny Smith could answer.
