"Ah," Blu nodded in understanding, "I suppose that makes sense. I can't say I've much experience with bars anyway given I only recently reached what this country considers a mature age so that's why I guess I didn't understand what you meant."

He got up to go to the counter, "I'll go place my order then, hopefully they don't arrive too far apart. It's always awkward when some of the group has their food and the others don't."

Minty would smile and nod "Of course" she'd say as she waited for him to go to the counter and then return to the table "We could probably go to the bar later on if you want, I do know if a nice niche little underground one. It's small and usually not too busy" she'd smile "Also the drinks and food there are pretty affordable too, not like most other bars"

Blu was a bit surprised by the offer, "You want to go to a bar, with me?" he returned to his seat, "I mean, I'm flattered of course and I'd love to join you, I'm just surprised. No pony's ever invited me out like that before."

Mint would smile "Well, I do like to consider you as a good friend" she would smile "and it's more fun to go to place like bars when you go with friends" she'd gently place a hoof on his own and smile more at him.

Blu was especially surprised when she reached out to touch him, staring down at his hoof with a look to match his emotions. He looked conflicted about what he should do as he rubbed the back of his neck with one of the gloves in his magic before looking back over at Mint with a blush, "Sorry, it's just that I don't use my hooves for much, not like most ponies do at least so I don't always parse then the same." He held up the gloves for emphasis, "I mostly use these for most things normal ponies use their hooves for, I never learned any other way." He chuckled, "Honestly I'm surprised you haven't asked about them yet, most everyone else asks about them first."

He'd put the gloves down and look away, but he wouldn't pull his hoof away from her grasp.

She'd smile and nod at his explanation "Oh, well I won't lie, I was curious, but I figured if it was for some important reason, you'd tell me in time" she'd say "I'm not exactly one to pry into pony's lives" she'd say to him with a small smile and a nod, thanking the waitress as she brought them their orders.

Blu also thanked the waitress as she delivered their orders, he'd inspect his float more for appearance than any sort of suspicion. He'd wait until Mint started eating to start enjoying his order. "I suppose I appreciate the privacy, but honestly I'm surprised you already consider me a good friend, I mean you hardly know anything about me, and I suppose I hardly know anything about you either."

"Well you have a point there, but why don't we make a start on getting to know each other?" she suggests "I mean you've been nothing but nice to me, and I know you are friends with two of my closest friends", that's something" she would smile at him.

Blu looked unsure, focusing his gaze more on his shake than Mint, but shrugged, "I suppose it couldn't hurt. Though honestly I'm a bit surprised that you know Dinky and Ditzy, while I was aware Ditzy used to live in Canterlot I was fairly sure Dinky had lived most if not all her life in Ponyville." He looked back up at Mint, "But I suppose that's besides the point, I guess I'd be happy to talk about myself if there's something you'd like to know, I'm not much of a conversationalist but I'll do my best."
