Why didn't Twilight's papercut heal?

In It's About Time, Twilight's "future" self from the next Tuesday has a scar on her cheek which we learn is from a paper cut she got from a scroll. Why didn't it heal in the meantime?

she has bad immune system due to being overly stressed and that caused her injury to not heal in the time it was supposed to??? maybe

In the meantime? How long did she have the cut? A week? Was it supposed to heal when going back into the past? Did the present Twilight get the cut as well? I don't remember all the details
