The Division: Fall of Manehatten. A MLP-Division Fanfic

So I've decided to make a MLP-Division fanfic with completely original characters. The story takes place in Manehatten where a virus known as Bit Poison has devastated Equestria. The Strategic Homeland Division is activated to save what remains and preserve the government. They are sent to Manehatten to liberate the city from the three hostile factions. The Ravagers, The Followers, and the Wolf Private Army. And to also find a cure to the virus and find out what happened to the first wave.

The main character is Shadow Dawn, a batpony activated in the second wave. But she will work together with three other agents. Mystic Star, Cloud Dancer, and Rain Rider. Please note that this is my first fanfic so updates might be frequent. Any support would be nice and welcomed. Constructive criticism would be nice too. Sidenote, this story will lean on the darker side of things. So let's begin

Chapter 1: Bit Poison

It was late November, the streets of Manehattan were busy as always. But today was busier than ever, why? Because today was Holy Friday. A national holiday, where retail stores sell products at half-off. Ponies waiting and camping overnight just to be the first ones to get the newest popular items. The shop's cash registers are going to be filled to the max with bits.

But unfortunately, unknown to the ponies of Manehatten. They will be the victim of a bio-terrorist attack that will take countless lives and decimate the Equestrian government. The one behind the attack, Dr. Toxic. A former Equestrian Disease Control virologist who has been cooking something menacingly in his own private lab. And today was the day he was going to release terror on the ponies of Equestria

Using laced bits and going to many shops across Manehatten financial district. He spread his virus to every corner of the financial district. Numerous ponies who have just been infected with his deadly virus would perish in a few days. But not before spreading to other ponies who spreaded it further.

After a few days, the first infected poneis started feeling ill. The usual fever and sore throat, but due to flu season coming around the corner. Many ponies thought it was a bad case of the flu. But when ponies started dying, it became common knowledge that this wasn't the flu.

That's when the EDC and ECRA took action and quarantined all of Manehatten. Train stations were shut down, the bridge was closed, and boats were forced to turn around.

In a desperate attempt to control the virus, they decided to build a large quarantine zone in the middle of Manehatten. It became known as the Dark Zone or DZ. But the infection spiraled out of control and hospital rooms were filled to the max with dying patients.

The police and Equestrian guard were stretched thin to control the looting and rioting. They tried multiple antivirals and vaccines, but nothing was working. That’s when they realized this was a mutated version of the Cutie Pox virus.

The situation got worse as it spreaded far out of ground zero, infecting nearby cities and other kingdoms. In Manehatten, it was complete anarchy. The power went out, grocery store shelves became empty, the water taps went dry, medicine was scarce, and the dark zone was abandoned.

That's when ponies did anything for survival, even if they had to kill. Amidst the chaos, ruthless factions rose up and carved territory for themselves. Murder and theft became rampent as these faction waged war on the streets. Trying to gain more territory for themselves.

Seeing the gravity of the situation. Princess Celestia, Princess Luna, and her cabinet activated Directive 51 across Equestria. It was signed quietly into law and maps the government response to a crisis.

They were rumors of sleeper cells and covert agents, but all unconfirmed. But now was the day that they were activated. Their main goal, to save what remains. Because when society falls, they rise.
