As he listened to Guidance Counselor Dawn's explanation, Dynamo's facial expression grew into a look of concern. He remembered gaining a sheet to fill out of interests before attending this school. However, he didn't have much to put besides video games. He was surprised to know that there were clubs for what he was interested in, but he didn't expect there to be different clubs that catered to that particular hobby. With a heavy sigh, Dynamo gave a nod towards Dawn. "I can understand what you're trying to say, Miss Dawn. I was hoping that there'd be a class on video games, but I suppose it was sort of wishful thinking. It's reassuring in knowing that there are clubs like the video game club and such. Is there a limit on how many clubs you can take, or is it more recommended to take just one? I hope it's okay to ask what the video game club and the Princess Luna Fanfilly Club are all about?" He wasn't sure if there was a difference, but he thought it'd be safe to ask.

It wasn't until he saw Dawn's magic flaring to life, while also hearing a sort of sound of locking, that he started to feel worried. He was glad that Dawn had seen the others as friends as he started to, but the mention of an essay had caused his eyes to slowly shrink to the size of peas. Even his ears started to droop as his heart began quickened with him beginning to panic. "T-There's an essay? I-I-I didn't know t-there was an essay portion to coming to the school. My mom and dad didn't say anything about that when talking about applying for the school." He felt his body begin to shake as he felt everything coming out of nowhere. "I-Is this something that has to be done now, or before a certain time?" He asked as he hoped to have some time to figure things out. He had a vague idea of what kind of magic he was interested in, but he wasn't sure on the reason. As he tried taking deep breaths to try and keep calm, he looked over to Skylight, who was mentioned by Guidance Counselor Dawn. With his magic, Dynamo watched as the sky-blue unicorn had created the magic tablet once more. The blue unicorn watched in interest as this must have been what Guidance Counselor Dawn had been talking about. 

"I-I guess my interests or hobbies are video games, anime, reading and music. I know back at my old school, I liked doing science in general, as well as science experiments. I'm not the best at drawing, but I always liked art, but I'm not entirely sure if art and/or pottery is the same thing. I know the type of new magic I'd like to introduce is video game magic. I'm not sure if something like that has been done or not, but I'd still like to try. I know I'd also like to take an interest in studying magic to better protect myself and to understand better. I'm not the best at magic and only recently discovered it after gaining my cutie mark, but even so. I'd like to study magic and such, as well. A-As for my learning style..." He started, recalling how the owner of the arcade had treated him. "...I'd probably say the same thing. An old teacher of mine had been the same as you described the others' learning style. Someone that can also be understanding and helpful, or can point in the right direction if one is stuck, as well."

"No, there isn't a limit on how many clubs you can join as long as you stay on top of your schoolwork. I mean, I guess you also couldn't join two clubs that have overlapping meetings, but the point is, clubs are meant to be flexible. For the videogame club, well it's pretty self explanatory: Club members find times to get together and go to the arcades together. As for the Princess Luna Fanfilly Club, well this school has a history of Fanfilly Clubs for each of the princesses. For Princess Luna, they talk about how much they like Luna, and do all kinds of activities related to the night, such as playing videogames, hosting concerts, stargazing, and writing dream journals. I'm not sure if you are interested in the other activities, but I suggested it given that they do videogames too," Guidance Counselor Dawn explained.

"Anyways, from what you said, it sounds like you share the same interests as your friends. I'll just put you in the same classes as them," Guidance Counselor Dawn said, writing on at least a dozen papers with her magic simultaneously. "I'm interested to see where you go with videogame magic and science. I haven't heard of it before, so you are going to have to explain it to me once you figured it out."

Twinkle Theory leaned over to whisper to Dynamo Pad. "Don't say that you're not the best at magic here. Odds are, the students already know you aren't from here because you are staying in the dorms. Saying that you aren't the best at magic will just give some students more feelings that you don't belong here because, well, there are quite a vocal group that thinks this school should only be fore students living in Canterlot."

"You know, something is off. I can feel it," Skylight Scintillate pondered. "You had to have filled out your interests list and your essay to be admitted here... Something doesn't add up."

"Yeah I could have swore I saw your essay half an hour ago. I'm pretty sure I saw a longer activities list from you too. It's strange, because it was right on top while I was talking to the group before this. It's not like it can just disappear, right?" Guidance Counselor Dawn said, shuffling a bunch of papers around yet failing to find what she was looking for. "Anyways, it doesn't matter anymore, you are all set to go. There's no classes today, so feel free to show Dynamo Pad around Canterlot," Guidance Counselor Dawn suggested. She smiled and waved as the group got up to leave.

As soon as they left her office, another group stepped in. Skylight noticed the colts that were the group before them waiting for them outside.

"Looking for something?" one of them asked, waving a bunch of papers in Dynamo Pad's face. Skylight got a quick glimpse of what was on the papers and he felt his heart sink: they were Dynamo Pad's activity list and essay.

As he listened to Guidance Counselor Dawn's explanation of each club, Dynamo was surprised at what he was learning. He understood that multiple clubs overlapping was a given, but it was still better to ask than not at all. With everything listed about the activity of both clubs, the blue unicorn had begun to consider his options. While it would be good to join the Luna Fanfilly Club, he wasn't sure how he'd fare in the other activities outside of gaming. With a nod, he made his decision. "Thank you for the explanation, Miss Dawn. For a club, I'm going to go with the video game club. The Princess Luna Fanfilly Club does sound interesting and promising, but I might try to start off from the ground up. Maybe see if the video game club is something for me and if not, then I can always try the other club. Sort of a weighing of options of sorts." He says, nodding as Dawn had given him the same classes as his new friends. He breathed a small sigh of relief as he knew he'd have some familiar faces when being in his classes. "Thank you so much, Guidance Counselor Dawn. I really do appreciate the help and I hope to see where that all goes, as well. I might have an idea, but maybe I'll discover what that is while I'm here."

With a perk of his ears, Dynamo's eyes traveled over towards the source of the voice to see that it was Twinkle Theory, who was whispering to him. "Thanks for the warning Twinkle. I know I wasn't the best with magic and even after my cutie mark, I still struggle at times. I'm still new to Canterlot, but I'm glad to know these things, before I get into some kind of trouble." He would say, raising his eyebrows with a shudder knowing that he'd have to keep a low profile on his magic. Unless he wanted to make a bigger target on his back from the other students. Upon hearing Skylight's thoughts, Dynamo couldn't help in raising a curious eyebrow. "What do you mean, Skylight? Is it something from your magic tablet, or is it a sixth sense of sorts?" He asks, wondering as even the guidance coulseller had shared the same train of thought. Upon further thought, Dynamo blinked with realization dawning upon him. "Actually, you're right about that. I had to make a list and I even had to submit it, before we entered the school. I guess trying to gather my bearings, I must've forgotten about the paper. I don't recall the essay, but I thought that could be done at a certain time." He wasn't entirely sure, but he was still thankful that everything was taken care of.

Hearing that everything was complete and that there was no classes, Dynamo smiled as they were able to leave and explore the Canterlot. "Thank you for all of your help and I guess we'll see you soon. Thank you again and bye, Miss Dawn." He would say as the group made their way out of the guidance counsellor's office. Not before another group had made their presence known and from the looks of things? It seemed as if this group in particular was waiting for the quartet. The gaming colt was confused at first upon seeing pieces of paper being waved in his face. Upon further inspection, Dynamo gasped as he saw that it was his activity list and essay. "H-Hey...those are my papers. W-Why do you have my papers for?" He asks, before receiving an answer from a colt that was blanketed by the group of colts in front of him. "Now, why would we do something like that? It's not like we should give them to an outsider like you, Kyubiki. Oh, I'm sorry. I should actually be saying Dynamo Pad." The voice spoke in a mocking tone, before speaking Dynamo's name with utter disgust. Hearing that voice had sent a chill down the gaming pony's spine. "Oh, no..." He spoke in a hushed whisper, while hoping that it wasn't who he thought it was.

"Kyubiki? Huh?" Skylight asked, glancing between Dynamo and the pony waving the papers with a confused look. Skylight thought he saw this group of ponies earlier. Then, he realized that they were the ones that were in Guidance Counselor Dawn's office just before them. He suddenly realized why Guidance Counselor Dawn was missing Dynamo Pad's papers: these ponies stole them!

"Hey! Whoever you are, it's not very nice to steal other student's papers from the Guidance Counselor's office. You better return those! Who are you and what's your problem anyways?" Twinkle Theory demanded, glaring at this other group of ponies.

Skylight noticed that Sealight seemed to have disappeared again. After his realization and what Twinkle Theory said, Skylight gave this other group of ponies an annoyed look but didn't say anything.

As Skylight mentioned his gaming name, Dynamo wanted to explain, but the presence of Cosmic and the other unicorns made the gaming unicorn feel intimidated. Seeing that there was no response, Cosmic chimed himself in. "Huh? You mean to tell me you haven't told them of that name?" He asks, shaking his head with a look of disappointment. "Shame on you and here I thought you were all friends, but I guess I was wrong." He snickered, stopping to give Twinkle Theory a look of annoyance. "Oh, shut your trap, you mongrel! If I wanted your opinion, then I'd ask you for it. Also, what are you supposed to be? The school's mascot?" He asks, raising an eyebrow with a look that showed he wasn't impressed, before continuing. "Well, if so, then they better put you on a leash. That'll show you some respect." The neon green unicorn gave a huff in disgust, while deciding to humor Twinkle with her questioning. "This 'steal' is such a harsh word. I'd say it's more of a borrow more than anything. I guess you could call it a little insurance policy. Better yet, why should I? What do I hope to gain in returning this ridiculous piece of paper? Oh, where are my manners. My name is Cosmic Clown and I am one of Dynamo Pad's closest and most special of friends. Isn't that right?" He asked with a sinister, sickly smile.

Dynamo could only chew his bottom lip, his eyebrows furrowing slightly at how Cosmic was treating his new friends. "C-Come on, Cosmic. Just stop, okay?" Hearing this caused Cosmic's smile to slowly morph into a smirk. "Oh, so he finally speaks, huh? Now why should I stop? I'm only speaking the truth, or am I speaking only lies? Maybe you're the one speaking lies to fool yourself." He started, before taking notice that one of Dynamo's group members had up and vanished. "It looks like one of your entourage just ditched you guys. Looks like it was for the best, after all. I mean, really now. Who would ever want to hang out with a failure like you, Kyubiki?" With a tilt of his head, Cosmic's smirk never changed. Almost as if provoking the other group to start trouble. Taking a breath, Dynamo released a shaky sigh to try and find some sort of resolve. "Look, Cosmic. Just...w-what do you want?" With a roll of his eyes, the neon green unicorn gave another huff. "Always with the questions. Very well, then. I'm here to go to school in my old hometown. That, and I heard word that an outsider like yourself is joining in one of the greatest of schools in all of Equestria. So, I'm here to put those that don't belong here in their place. That, and I'm here to take back what you stole from me."

@Dynamo Pad 

"You know, I'm really tempted to yell at you, but I won't. Maybe I am the school mascot," Twinkle Theory said a she pulled out a poster of the school, except it has a picture of herself as the mascot. "But either way, you never put the school mascot on a leash. Next time, research your analogies before you use them, because it makes your arguments really weak when you use them incorrectly," Twinkle Theory said getting right up face to face with Cosmic Clown. 

While Twinkle Theory was busy arguing with Cosmic, Skylight tried to copy the papers that Cosmic had using a magical spell he remembered. However, the more Cosmic talked, the more confused Skylight got. For one, who was this Kyubiki and why hadn't Dynamo Pad mentioned anything about this? And what did Dynamo take from Cosmic? Skylight continued to glance back and forth between Dynamo and Cosmic with a confused look, but he didn't dare to say anything.

Meanwhile, Twinkle Theory turned so bright red she looked like she was about to explode. "You know what? I'm so done with you. This isn't how you are supposed to treat a classmate and I'm going to be returning those papers," Twinkle Theory snapped as she attempted to snatch the papers out of Cosmic's grasp with her telekinesis. Skylight didn't get a chance to see if it worked because at that precise moment, the group abruptly teleported.

Skylight found himself floating in a bubble hanging from the ceiling, which was very disorienting. He also noticed that Cosmic was still on the ground below him. Skylight looked around curiously from this new perspective and noticed the rest of the group was also floating in bubbles, including Sealight. "Welcome to my introvert's bubble," Sealight whispered to them from her own bubble, blushing slightly. "I saw what you were trying to do so I queued a teleportation spell after your attempt. What do you think? They can't see or hear or sense us up here.

Skylight looked over to Twinkle Theory, curious to see if Twinkle's attempt to take the papers back had succeeded.

As he listened to Twinkle Theory's retort, Cosmic could only huff in annoyance. It was only the first day and he knew this pony was starting to get on his nerves. "Are you sure you're not yelling at me now? Isn't that being a hypocrite?" He would ask, taking notice of the poster and Twinkle Theory on said poster. "Well, well, well. It's a small world, after all." The light green unicorn rolled his eyes as Twinkle's angry remarks. "Excuse me? Research my analogies? I've always checked my analogies perfectly and besides. Don't you know? A leash is to help mangy mongrels like you from lashing out on other students or anyone else for that matter. The way you're yelling, you're just proving my point that they should put you on a leash, before teaching you respect. Ever heard of the phrase walk before you run? Well how about you behave before you can bark. Oh, and in case you didn't realize, but I rolled my eyes." He smirked as her head games wouldn't work on him. As she got her face right up to his, Cosmic pushed right back, while it was as if their horns clashed against each other.

As all of this was going on, Dynamo had looked on with worry and concern in his eyes. On one hoof, he wanted to desperately help Twinkle and to try and stand up to Cosmic. On the other hoof, he saw the backup he had and how they all shared the same air of animosity between them. With his magic, he wouldn't be able to do much, let alone anything. Opening his mouth to speak, he stopped as if the words wouldn't come out. Back to Cosmic, the unicorn had heard Twinkle's response, before laughing. "Oh, you're done with me? About time because I've been done with you four since the beginning. In case you didn't realize, then why would I waste my time with losers like you? In fact, would would I show any of you any form of respect? Especially with one that's so spineless, you'd think he was one's own personal punching bag?" He spoke as if spitting out venom. His eyes glared like daggers towards Dynamo, who dared not to say a word. 

However, that would be his undoing as his grip on the papers lessened. Allowing Twinkle enough time to snatch the papers away, while causing Cosmic to snarl at the mare. "Hey! Those papers are mine! You best hand those back to me if you know what's good for you. Otherwise, you'll be in for a world of hurt." His glare shifted back towards Twinkle, but in that brief moment, the group was gone. It was as if they had teleported, but it didn't look like a spell was casted. "Where did they go?" He asked, gritting his teeth slightly as he looked back to his group. "Well!? What are you waiting for? Find them!" He ordered, the group scurrying away to look for Dynamo and the others. "They couldn't have gotten far. Those pests won't get away from me that easily." Cosmic grubled as he slowly walked away, before soon being out of sight. As for Dynamo and the others, they were still in place, but they were invisible to the naked eye. The reason was due to Sealight's spell that placed them in bubbles that allowed them to be invisible. Dynamo blinked as he almost freaked out from being in a bubble. However, he slowly calmed down as he noticed that the others were in different bubbles like he was. He wondered if this was due to a spell, but his questioned was soon answered by Sealight's response.

He had to admit that he felt a bit dizzy due to floating within the bubble, but it was at least better than dealing with Cosmic. Speaking of which, he looked to the three as he looked disheartened of what had just happened. He didn't give his thoughts to Sealight as he felt terrible about the interaction with Cosmic. "I-I'm really sorry everyone. T-This is all my fault. If you want, you can let me out of the bubble and I'll leave you all alone. I-It's me that he wants and I don't want to cause you any more trouble like what happened a moment ago." He would say as he closed his eyes.

@Dynamo Pad 

"Hey, I'm not about to let a friend of mine get bullied like that. I will defend you even if it means I get bullied too," Twinkle Theory said.

"Yeah like, what's his problem anyways?" Skylight asked. "It seems like he bullies others to compensate for something...Anyways, do you think it would help if you explained what is going on? Or do you think that it would be better if you explain to Guidance Counselor Dawn when we go to return the papers? Like, you seem like a really nice and kind pony, and I would like to get to know you better," Skylight asked, trying to comfort Dynamo. The pair's bubbles would slowly merge into one and Skylight would float over to hold Dynamo's hoof compassionately, even though he wasn't sure if this was the best way to comfort Dynamo.

Skylight looked over to Twinkle Theory and Sealight and gestured to them to merge their bubbles too, so they could also comfort Dynamo. Sealight also held Dynamo's hoof but didn't say anything. On the other hoof, Twinkle Theory sort of just floated in the merged bubble not quite sure if she should touch Dynamo. 

"I know a way we can get to Guidance Counselor Dawn's office without running into Cosmic..." Twinkle Theory would offer. "And I have the papers."

If Dynamo wanted to go to Guidance Counselor Dawn's office, Twinkle Theory would pull out the button from earlier and they would teleport directly outside, where they could enter right away and explain to Guidance Counselor Dawn. If Dynamo wanted to explain, they would remain in their shared bubble for him to talk.

Hearing Twinkle's words was almost like a shock to Dynamo. 'E-Even after everything...t-they still want to be my f-friend...?' With the bullying and isolation he had been through back in his home town, he had never expected those to stand up for him. Let alone stand by his side and accept the same treatment. Even as the bubbles began to merge into one, hearing the mention of Dawn had caused Dynamo's eyes to widen quickly in fear. "No! We shouldn't do that! I..." He shouted, before stopping to look everyone in their eyes. Even though they wanted to hear him out, he quickly resorted to being defensive and shout. With a look of regret, he shook his head. "...I-I'm sorry. I know I shouldn't shout like that. To be honest, I...I don't know what his problem is. If you can believe it, he was never always like this. He and I...were once friends. We had two other ponies that we were all friends with named Frozen Abyss, a pegasus and Cheap Shot, an earth pony. They used to mess around with me and each other when it came to joking and starting random trouble. However, given that I was still a young colt at the time, I...I just chalked it up as them just kidding around. As I got older, I guess I just tried to ignore the fact that it could have been bullying." He started, feeling something touch both of his front hooves. Looking over, he took notice of Skylight and Sealight holding each front hoof to give him comfort and reassurance.

"After some time, things started to change. Cosmic's whole appearance changed as if something had snapped. He was irritable, was acting cruel, hateful and even spiteful to others. The moment I tried to be there for a friend, he managed to turn everyone against one another. To him, it was his way of saying that if he couldn't have that particular thing, then nopony would." He shook his head as he never really understood what that truly meant. "I know talking to a teacher is always a good idea, but I...I don't want to cause any trouble. If something is said, then I worry that things would only get worse. Cosmic isn't something that likes to take things sitting down. M-Maybe...in due time, but I know he's someone that shouldn't be messed around with." He would say, taking notice of the papers that Twinkle Theory was holding. "Y-You got them back? How did you do that?" He asks, before recalling what Skylight had mentioned. "If we are still able to explore the town, museum and maybe the arcade, then I would still be all for it. I want to get to know you all just as much. I know with what I said about Cosmic and the others, I guess you could say that they never really considered me a friend, or I've never really had that many friends." He felt embarrassed to admit something like that, but he felt he could trust the three of them. To him, he wanted to give them a chance and hope to become true friends with them, as well.

@Dynamo Pad 

"Of course, we would still want to be your friend. What kind of friends would we be if we just abandoned you?" Twinkle Theory said. "Anyways, I think the bullies are gone now. Let's just return the papers, and then we can go explore the city away from them. And a friend turning into a bully is the worst. You shouldn't let him control you like that," The bubble that the group was in slowly lowered toward the ground before dissipating once the group's hooves made contact. Once on her four hooves, Skylight'e ears swiveled around. Other than the sounds of the group getting up, the hallways were completely silent. During the group's confrontation, Cosmic Clown had managed to lead the group quite a ways away from Dawn's office. However, Skylight was aware of which direction they went. He pointed in the direction of Dawn's office. "Looks like the coast is clear. This way!" he said as he led the group toward Guidance Counselor Dawn's office. However, as he rounded the last corner near Dawn's office, he was abruptly pulled back by Twinkle Theory.

"Look," she whispered, pointing around the corner. Skylight peeked his head out from around the corner before pulling back abruptly once he realized who he saw. "One of the bullies is pacing around outside Dawn's office, and it doesn't look like he's going anywhere. At least he hasn't noticed us yet..." Twinkle remarked, using a reflection spell to peer around the corner. 

"Let's just return the paper later..." Sealight whispered to the others.

"Yeah, let's," Skylight agreed. "Oh look, a flyer. It looks like the art museum has free admissions this afternoon. Wow they are going all out on promoting their floating paper exhibit. And it actually says a million pieces of paper. I wonder why I heard ten thousand then... Anyways, why don't we go there? It's pretty close by, which would be good for your first few days here." Skylight suggested. Twinkle Theory and Sealight nodded in agreement. Skylight looked towards Dynamo for the final confirmation.
