3D printing

Does anyone do this for at-home use?

Basically it's a machine that will print a 3D plastic object (small scale or in pieces that have to be assembled but it has to be given the individual pieces)

I know it's a good way to get little stuff the way you want it to, usually for very niche purposes. You don't even have to model it yourself, chances are someone's already taken the time to do that and maybe even gave the file itself for free.

I haven't gotten into it but my uncle has been socially pressuring me to try it out :kindness:

I’ve never tried it but I’ve seen 3D printed stuff for sale on ebay and etsy, and they’re very remarkable. The printers and other tools aren’t as expensive as they could be but I expect there’s some practice required to get items scanned properly for rendering. I would love to get into it myself but that would be number 100 on my to-do list and currently I’m on number 3.
