I don't think it would matter. We'd just see two unique takes on the tourist trap. Which would be pretty interesting.

I'll be making up my own tourist trap of what I might expect to find in Equestria.

Beaches aren't necessarily a tourist trap on their own. There's some really nice beaches out there! It has to be so obvious that its ripping people off.

Think Flim and Flam! If they saw a "meh" beach, what would they do to it to squeeze as much money as possible from it even though it's not the best beach in town?

You see thats the thing. How can you call something a trap if you can see it? Hence why the beach is that great of a trap. Especially them nudist beach....

Not necessarily! Over here where I live, the closest beaches are the ones surrounding the Outer Banks (North Carolina). They're genuinely very beautiful even during busier seasons. Everything is very local with reasonable pricing.

Meanwhile, if I go south to Myrtle Beach (South Carolina), now THAT'S a place with lots of tourist traps. It's alright, but everything is priced quite high and designed to rip tons of money from you. Reminds me of Las Vegas, in a way.

And by extension, a vacation destination doesn't automatically equal a tourist trap!

Yes, a tourist trap is a place where you'll be disappointed. But, it's also not necessarily a place that one person may not personally enjoy for themselves. It's a little difficult to explain this point, which is why you need to think like Flim and Flam, in a way.

Take the episode where Applejack had to defend her family's apple cider and farm from Flim and Flam. The cider made by AJ and her family attracts long lines and the show implies that it happens every year. Their farm during that time of year would arguably be a tourist destination for any ponies visiting due to their long history and tasty cider. But, let's say for a moment that Flim and Flam were able to set up shop not far from AJ permanently. Knowing them, they would use a similar name with their cider machine and make it very gimmicky, just to attract clueless people towards them instead. That's a tourist trap, at least in my book it is.

.... Flim and flam did there was scamming people. Apple jack did there is considered a tourist trap.

Cuz it attracted people for their money.

Yes its cheap but still if you read what a tourist trap is that's what it is. But was it bad not really. But im sure that rainbowdash did and the rest who didn't get the cider.... 

Again being a tourist trap doesnt really have to be bad.

Just being a famous tourist destination can cause you to become a trap on it's own.

Once a tourist destination becomes famous.

You have to control who or what enters.

Price will increase no matter what you do because increase in people will force the establishment to increase alot of stuff like production and employees.

And the more people there are the chances of scammers increase.
