A subwoofer, a 150W seems ideal for a bedroom setup like mine. It has anti vibration pads underneath so shouldn't cause a disturbance. Plus I've got thick walls between my room and next door.

This sub is great for listening to bass heavy genres.  it's an entry level system, I cannot afford high end setups as they cost thousands, but it works well. It has a built in amplifier. I know audiophiles generally prefer dedicated amplifiers, and if I were building a disco I'd have to consider that option, but this is for home use so that does not matter.
